Some have tried, some have set up an off page support system, some have had great success and some not.
OP here. How can I help you? Upfront, much as I'd like to I have nothing to add at this time.

Apparently since I'm still a noob on SD, I can't include any email addresses or URLs in Private Messages. So, hopefully I'll be able to leave my current title of L1: Learner behind me very soon. Until then, I am going to try and just gain experience and rep by posting more frequently.
I have come across three other websites with folks posting about their recent Penny Finds, and many of the people posted copies of their receipts and/or photos of the pennied item they purchased.
Here's a list of penny items others are finding/have found in the last 3 months:

Went to my local HD last night after perusing several different websites that had posts from people who purchased various items for a penny.
One of the items that is supposedly a penny is Malibu Prominence 6-pi solar light kit. I found three on the shelf (not in clearance), but none rang up as a penny, just the original price of 119.99.
Last fall I scored 2 Toro 24V cordless string trimmers that were a penny, so I'm itching to score again. Would love to share info or scout for info in return.

|branded||The only way to find inventory on an item online is to check it at the first sign of clearance. Once it gets near the .03 level you cannot check inventory anymore. Of course, you can always ask a helpful salesperson to check inventory on their handheld inventory scanner using the store sku. YMMV|

Purchased an 18" Ryobi 2 Cycle Gas Chainsaw today for a penny in Miami.
Ryobi 18 in. 2-Cycle Gas Chainsaw
There were no stickers so I cannot provide the BOD or the SKU but maybe it was around the time someone first posted these chaninsaws were on clearance (see link below). I happened to see the label sitting on the pricing cart for a penny so I walked around and found it. There were several more in the overhead but only one more had the wrapping around it with the UPC code.
Ryobi Chainsaw Clearance at Home Depot 18" for $99 or 20" for $119 + FREE CASE - YMMV
Penny deals have been harder and harder to come by these days and the BOD does not seem to be as informative as they used to be. I have seen items stay at xx.03 for more than 3 weeks (watching several items for 5 weeks now)

|pdxman1||Its not a penny yet, but I saw 3 gallons of vegetable oil for frying at $7.53. Just went down from something.06, so should be another 3 weeks to a penny. Penny deals are so rare anymore, I'd buy it at $7.53 if I needed it. Just don't be fooled by "Peanut" in big letters. It is mostly soybean oil. They put a little bit of peanut oil in it so they can put peanut oil on the label. Sorry I didn't get the SKU.|
