|sendeals||I myself got this offer few weeks back after reading a post in SD. I called 611 and told the same thing that my friend got this for $99 and was on hold for quite sometime and got my shipping, activation and CA tax waived by the representative (this is an upgrade). Representative charged CA tax in my credit card and gave a statement credit of the same amount immediately. Thanks for the poster who originally posted it.|

Got the same $79.99 deal as someone earlier.
At first try, the rep said he couldn't do anything for me. After I reminded him I'm on a business account, he came back and said "$79.99 no problem".
Free shipping and activation waived too.

what about mandatory data for iphone ?
Wont they add data for each iphone? min is 300mb @ $20, so for 4 phones it is like $80? ... + there is no corp discount on the base plan ...
so your new bill should be ~$200 .. am i missing any thing ..

|ruff0083||Here is why I stay with AT&T. I have 4 lines. We currently have 700 anytimes minutes, unlimited nights and weekend, unlimited texting with unlimited mobile to any mobile. We pay 98/month with our fan discount. I pre-ordered all 4 lines for an iPhone5 upgrade and received all iPhones on the 21st. Sold them each for 950 each. and put the money in the at&t payment account. BAM! phone bill paid for 3 years! That is why AT&T/iPhone is awesome!|

I just got my Galaxy S3 for 79.99 - free shipping, free activation, $128.11 out the door with taxes. Basically I called up and said it's cheaper online, "79 dollars less than what you're charging." I said I would sign up for a new contract on the spot if they could match the price. The guy misheard me and price matched TO $79.99. They didn't even ask where the price was from (trying to match Amazon's $119.99).
Free shipping and activation is because of my company's employee discount.
Long story short - call up and say you wanna price match to just about anything, and they clearly don't verify.
YMMV. I'm not posting this as its own deal, because, well, duh.

Next step, HDMI adapter. Pay $40 for an official version?
Thanks everyone, for the heads-up on the good Galaxy upgrade price.

Once you have a Premier account, you'll see more discounts especially on refurb phones. Also in some cases upgrade fees and/or activation fees waived.
Right now, even if you don't have a Premier account, AT&T is selling the Samsung Galaxy S III refurb for $99 so if anyone is ordering by phone and you want the S III for $99 make sure they state if it is refurb or new.

However, my wife has her phone through T-Mobile, which we do pay for.
All in all, every carrier sucks. There is not a single 'perfect' one out there. If there was, all the others would be out of business. Each one sucks in it's own way. Everyone using Carrier_A hates them and wants to switch to Carrier_B. But everyone on Carrier_B hates them and wishes they had Carrier_A. And so on.
