Running Ghostery now.
Time to fully load each page on SD has been cut in aproximately in half. So far so good. At least things are tolerable now.
New computer will improve things much more also.
Thanks again for the suggestion.

Have you tried another browser to see you experience the same thing? There seem to be a lot of people posting issues lately in this section with FF...not sure if coincidence or not.
If you're confident that the system is clean, then I won't bother suggesting anything down that route. Have you opened Task Manager and looked for memory leaks / high Handle count?
To rule out internet related things, do the following...
power cycle cable modem and router. then reset the TCP/IP stack and winsock catalog by going to a command prompt and typing the following
netsh int ip reset c:\iplog.txt [then press Enter]
netsh winsock reset catalog [press Enter]
Then restart the computer. Prior infections can botch these things without completely disabling them...resulting in poor performance.

I do not see such a multitude of "trackers" accessed except on Slickdeals. Some other sites also do this but not to this extent. The net result is that Slickdeals becomes painfully slow if the computer and/or internet speed is not fast enough, just because of all of the additional traffic. I suspect that the programmers at Slickdeals do not ever test the site using a slow computer with slow internet speed. Not everyone has high speed.
I am fortunate to have speedy internet, and am now upgrading to a new machine for faster operation, but many people do not have access to high speed internet or a fast computer.
Browser here is normally running Firefox.
Thanks for the suggestion, I will look into Ghostery.

Do you use Firefox or Chrome? If so, you can install an extension called Ghostery which will block various trackers from loading.
Also, just to eliminate it as a possibility, have you scanned your system for malware/viruses? It doesn't necessarily sound like a redirect problem, but some are rather subtle.
What OS are you running?

Page load slow or not completing
Page loading is getting worse and worse. Now Slickdeals is trying to load a page that cannot be resolved: ?????????.metric.gstatic.com
"unable to resolve system target name"
Then we have sites that take forever to load (infinite timeout):
(Have to keep expanding the hosts file and it is getting big!)
Too many sites need to load each time we go to the next page.
Hope this problem can be fixed--it is one thorn in an otherwise great site.
