I don't care what people do with their purchases. You want to take that up with the other guy.

What I will say is this: I have no understanding why anyone can get so offended by the notion of me asking whether something can be returned unopened. At first thought (without knowing about the tax), I thought it was a good price, and was gonna pull the trigger. If I decide a week later that I no longer want it, or that a gift recipient doesn't need it, etc, etc, why do you care so much? Why do you care so much to start speculating "he probably can't afford it", "he wants to flip it", blah blah. I have no idea why anyone would be so interested in my life. It's pretty dull.

That's like me saying that my Asus Republic of Gamers laptop at $1000 is a much better unit than this Macbook Pro at the same price. Well, yes, it most definitely is...assuming I want to game or do video intensive tasks. Not if I'm a student and want long battery life and a lightweight, yet somewhat usable laptop (Macbook Pro). Unfair comparison.

I spent $950 on the wife's computer and got $27 in reward zone bucks along with 18 month financing with no interest. Right away I dropped in a 256gb samsung 830 which is highly sought after for $170 and 16gbs of ram for $80. Please find do me a favor and ugprade the SSD to 256gb, add 16gb of ram for photoshop and rendering along with virtual machine. Yes resolution blows on the LCD panel but when using it at home it is plugged into a IPS 24" lcd @ 1080p. Different strokes for different folks...enjoy the RECERTIFIED laptop that is not user friendly to upgrades.
edit: Just realized the Asus battery life is up to 5 hours and apple is up to 7 hours....
