What I can tell you is this, the boots I bought from Footlocker are of worse quality than the boots I bought from them directly. I bought 2 pairs of boots from foot locker and after a few months of use water started leaking through the leather. Also the sole wore out pretty quickly. So I called up Timberland and complained and they replaced both boots with new ones. The boots from Timberland directly felt more solid and better made. I'm still using those boots and they are holding up fine. No leaks through the leather and the soles are holding up better than the old pairs.
Anyways, the shoes are getting old and since Timberland is willing to stand by their product they will take them back for replacement. I'm not saying their shoes are worth $150+ but they are willing to replace them if your are not happy with them.

|p00hdiddy||sad to hear that quality has gone to shit. I used to own their boots, many pairs, and wouldn't think of wearing anything else. Some were more comfortable than a good pair of sneakers. I've got 1 pair left now, at least 5 years old, and with the minimum wear I put on them, expect them to last another 10. It's the american way really, hit critical mass and then start manufacturing in China. Sad stuff. The smartwool brand they bought off someone else, and the quality is really good, so hopefully that sticks. I'm sure for the price there are plenty of other shops you can get a quality pair of boots from. As far as their clothes and such, never quite understood who would buy a timberland polo shirt and what not. Jackets and outerwear I can understand, but the rest of it never made sense to me. Someone must becuase they keep making it, but I digress|

Wow - just bought way too much - thanks OP.
6" boots + 15 pairs of smart wool socks = $170.
Not bad. Will give the socks out as gifts this year.
Strangely was charged $0.60 for sales tax. Not sure what that's about but I like the new tax rate!

|s1ikdeeli0||The socks buy 2 get 1 stacks with 40% off although the itemized cart line item on the free one/pack does not reflect this. Just look at the total, do the calculation, and it does come out to be buy 2 get 1 with 40% off.|
