Well I received my u2412m and I'm very happy with it. They subbed it for the s2740l at $250 free express shipping, plus they are sending me a $25 gift card for my trouble... so yeah a u2412m for $225!!
I can't believe they took care of me like that, usually Best Buy is a pain but they made this rather easy.

|jwillgoesfast||Thanks, bummer that it is more than this 27" but I'll probably end up with the u2412m for my needs (some graphic design). I may stop by BB to see if i can see them in person. Setting up a price alert for u2412m now Appreciate the help.|

Do you have some specific model numbers for 24" x1200's? If a deal pops up on them, i'd be up for that, although the newer styling and edge to edge glass on this one is pretty tempting.

I called them and worked out a sweet deal on a u2412m though so all is well. It has already shipped.

FYI, Back in Stock
In for 1 and repped. Thanks
Really wanted a 2412(this is 50 less with a similar resolution, I don't do photoshop so sRGB is fine) or 2713 but at this price I can't pass it up. Also more compatible with all of my computers(laptops with only hdmi that can't put out 2560x1440)

I bought this monitor because I did not want to deal with the risks and annoyance associated with the no name korean monitors. The U series from dell is certainly much better by in large about 2x-3x the price for the same size.
In terms of pixel size, the argument is silly. More pixels is always better assuming your graphics card can drive the system BUT the question is how far do you sit from the screen and what is your budget. The U30 from dell for 1k is a much better screen but I would hope your porshe out performs a corolla.
anyway, for my two cents this is a great monitor for 250$. For the 399$ MSRP it is a POS.
