I'm likely returning mine tomorrow.
100% perfect other than with noted fan issue.
I have updated all drivers, tried every fix, but the fan coming on every few seconds is driving me crazy.

|hack2nite||can anyone forward me the email for the squaretrade warranty. seems like you can only buy if you link though buy.com because squaretrade alone does not sell warranty on refurbs according to rep. but she said once i buy she will give me 30% off. but i guess the email for $85/ 3 years was sent to my junk and i never got it. so if someone can foward me the email just so i have the proof of offer that would be great. thanks|

|jeshep||This Asus Zenbook UX-31A is back in stock at Buy.com for $617.99 with free shipping. Also for today you can opt in for 10% credit for future purchases from Buy.com ($61.80 worth when buying this laptop). Not sure how to update the title of this thread or if I should add a new thread.|

On a side note, has anyone else noticed a very quite but very high pitched sound coming from the laptop? It is so quiet that I only hear it when there are no other sounds in the room and I have the computer close to my head/ears. For example when I'm reading from the laptop in bed. The interesting thing is that the sound briefly goes away when I two-finger scroll. Not sure why that is. Any thoughts, experiences or remedies? Thanks.

|encg||I got the official one from the ASUS store because 1) it's very portable and 2) looks great. Can't fit the power adapter or dongles, but I'm gonna look past that. Here's another form-fitting one that was recommended here http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/...PDKIKX0DER (a Zenbook is pictured inside). I'm not sure when it comes to traditional cases, but figure any 13.3" one will do.|

Has anyone snagged a case/sleeve for this yet? I'm kind of on the fence between wanting a form-fitting sleeve, or a more traditional case (with storage for power adapter, etc). Unfortunately, I'm not sure if any of them are specifically made for the Zenbook. I'd rather not have the laptop bouncing around in a too-big sleeve/case.
These are the two I was checking:
ASUS also sells the standard sleeve (included with retail Zenbook Primes) but they want more for shipping than the sleeve costs, which bothers me ($8.99 for the case, $9 for shipping): http://us.estore.asus.
If anyone has one they can recommend (or not recommend), I'd appreciate it.
