I just received and tried my shipment (there was a delay in the shipment, for which NatureBox apologized).
At $1 a bag, this is a great deal. I'd gladly pay $2 a bag on an occasional basis for these. The bags are I received are:
-Vanilla Macaroon Granola (one type of granola)
-Nature's Bounty (granola mix)
-Dark Cocoa Almonds (dark chocolate-covered almonds)
-Blueberry Nom Noms (cookies)
-Honeycomb Sunflower Kernels (honey-flavored sunflower seeds)
If one of these boxes can be had for $5 again, please let me know!

Thanks for posting this, but this deal was posted three days ago at http://slickdeals.net/f/5790500-NATURE-SNACK-BOX-4-95-normally-19-95.
I actually did miss that thread, so for personal reasons, I gave you your first four reputation points.
I've been checking into NatureBox for several months now.
By the way, if anyone is curious about NatureBox and would like to see examples of their previous months' boxes, go to http://naturebox.com/foods.

|edwadokun||I love these snacks. If you went to trader joes or whole foods to get something similar you will pay a lot more than $20 for the same amount. Plus for every box they send, they donate a meal to feeding america.|

After you place your order, you can go in to your Dashboard and hand pick what items you want in your next box. There are lots of options for dried fruit, granola, nuts, trail mix, yogurt pretzels, bars, etc.
You can also select "Surprise Snack" if you want to gamble.
Update: I did this, but now it is looking like that may be for the February shipment. It isn't clear, but it keeps calling it the "next" shipment, and says January box is already in process. Hmmm. We'll see.

In for 1
I'll likely call and cancel after I receive my first box.

|broadwayblue||I just called to cancel my account on Friday after receiving 3 monthly shipments. Their stuff is ok (and definitely worth $5) but I found that most of it tastes pretty much alike, and some of the items are just a bit weird (lemon flavored pistachios.) So they offered to switch my subscription to every other or every third month, and I went with the latter. Also, allegedly within the next month or so subscribers will have the ability to customize their shipments with the snacks they prefer...so that should be an improvement. At the end of the day it's arguable whether the shipment is worth $20, but it's probably a reasonable deal if you like most of what shows up.|

|rrr||These are really good snacks. I received this before. Great deal for $5. Thanks!|

You do have to CALL them to cancel, it says in the small print, but you just have to cancel before the end of the month or end of the billing cycle (not sure which would apply for orders placed today).
The food selection is described here (with examples of past month boxes): http://naturebox.com/foods

|willwgp||For only $5, what do I have to lose? If they end up being granola bars or something, well ... I'll still eat em all!|

|bluekiwi||you save $15 on any of the packages ordered for the first month, any idea what kind of items they send you? I am all for nutritious food, but if it isn't even something I would try, why bother|
