As I'm not a Costco member, I was able to get the BDPS590 for $79.99 PM'd to Costco at another major electronics retailer because I happened to find a nice guy who took my word they were equivalent. That's an incredible YMMV and is the exception rather than the rule. I was going to get the Panasonic BDT220 for $79.99 PM'd to Fry's until I read all the troubles people have had with DLNA and various file types not supported (i.e. they had to be encoded with particular programs and versions), so when I heard about the BX59 Costco deal I decided to go that route.

I had this unit for one week and just experienced the cinavia bug. I never understood what it was about until it happened but I am going to have to return the unit because of it.
Does anybody know if the Panasonic DMP-BDT220 firmware enabled the cinavia protection?

|Progression||Thanks for the heads up regarding the Amazon video. I've had the player sitting in a box since the Crutchfield deal and generally use my PC for looking at anything, but it's nice to know there's another use for this player.|

|Tintinet||Bought the BDP-S590 at Sony on sale recently, plus HDMI cable for AMEX $25 back with $100 plus purchase, but this deal looks even better.|

|Mermaid||Are there any free trials or some way to order from Costco without a Costco membership? Would like to avoid the non-member surcharge. Thanks!|

to me, most important thing is ROKU blocks international channels these days after getting into the agreement with dish network. Sony supports YUPTV which brings in the indian channels for just $10 a month as oppose to dish $29 a month.
