Why isnt it a good idea to wait for the camera + STM bundle to be available for a lower price in the months to follow? Unless you have a burning desire to buy a DSLR now...
Most of the people would usually sell off one of the two lenses and finally purchase the STM lenses.
So given the fact that the STM lenses are the best for this camera especially the video feature -- Why is this a great deal without the STM lens?

|Dushie||Yea, have been tracking my package through fedex, it should reach me tomorrow morning, and yes the contents are the lenses, camera and the bag. Rest of the stuff should come in via USPS.|

|alison03||Well it showed up at almost 9pm. No sign of the filter/dust blower, but we'll see if/when that shows up via USPS.|

As a side: this is apparently on the truck for delivery as we speak, but still no sight of it. I'm not entirely convinced as for some reason packages often say they're out for delivery but don't actually get here for an extra day or two.

I couldn't find how long the warranty for the camera+lens were. Does this come with a 1 year warranty?
Also, is anyone considering the $89.99 3 year extended warranty from Squaretrade? I'm not sure how reliable Cannon cameras are as this is my first DSLR.

yep, was doing some research and read in a few places, if you use slow cards video shooting in HD will not be continuous and it will stop after couple of minutes. While with Extreme there would not be any such issues and you can shoot longer HD videos.
Saw a good deal on ebay for the extreme :
Also they have shipped half of the package with fedex, with a delivery date of Saturday. It mentioned in the email the rest of the stuff (UV filter & blower) would come via post.
Let's see when it reaches.

I also prefer SanDisk Extreme as it seems to offer the best bang for the buck!

Sandisk Extreme 32GB anything but that card slowed my camera right down!

|yakapo||I just tried the t4i with the 40mm stm lens. I can't say that I'm super impressed with the autofocus while shooting video. It seems too slow. Is it just me?|

|alison03||Pretty stunned after seeing some of their feedback, but they already sent me shipping notification for FedEx delivery on Saturday.|

Check that video out about 5D mark iii VS 6D .. I love that show.

I might be using video once in a while, but action and candids for the most part.
GPS and wifi are also just 'extras' for me. I really like the specs on the 5D's focus system (41 cross points vs 1), 61 focus points (vs. 6D's 11), 1/8000 vs 1/4000 max shutter speed, and 6FPS vs 4.5FPS. Still trying to justify a $3500 purchase though...
