Of course, I prefer bare drives, since I have SATA cradles connected to every television. Who needs to stream when you can plop-in a 2T drive and watch any of the programs on it through the PBO Core?
Still need to transfer those hundreds of beta tapes, though...

Is this the same model on sale for $139 @ CostCo B&M? That sale could have recently ended though.
Does anyone know if or how the models differ?

My main rig has 3x 1tb filled with music, pictures, videos, movies, documents, ebooks, etc....
with a 128gb ssd for applications and os. I also have a 1tb external backup for some things I would hate to lose.
in short the 4tb I ordered will basically just be able to back up all my music,pics,videos,ebooks,documents.. etc on 1 drive allowing me to know that It is all stored in one place. I might even get another one to backup the backup just in case and lock that in a firesafe.
I am sure many people like me ripped all their physical dvd's and music cd's before selling them and it would be a shame to lose all that. also the cloud is great, but call me old school I l dont like trusting anyone but myself when it comes to my files/media.

Also, I got one of these last deal and it works great! Wiped the drive and reformatted fine for use with Linux, Windows, and Mac OS.
