That's a lie, Bear Grylls don't use these tools, his mouth and hands are his tools.

Overall this seems like a good deal, I am resiting but probably will bite. Anyone know how much force it takes to open these up, also how sturdy it feels?

|BuddyTheElf||I bought it because it is on SD and it is the Bear Grylls model. With this tool and the survival knowledge I've gained from watching his show, I'll never find myself in a desperate survival situation. After all, I can just cut open the carcass of a dead animal with this tool and live there until I'm rescued. I'll even squeeze the water from the dead animal's digestive track to stay hydrated. And when the US Government snatches up everyone's guns, I'll still have a knife until the 69th amendment is repealed.|

|michi098||According to the Camel, the price during the last12 months has been averaging around $11, sometimes $13, sometimes $10. No real need to jump on this if you're not sure...|

I'm not sure if this is the regular price or not. I purchased this Feb 16 for $10 as well as an addition to a Schrade survival knife. I believe this is 'regular' price from what is the MSRP.
As a review on this item. It is pretty heavy and built well, not wobbly. This is not a toy Swiss Army knife. The pliers have a spring to keep the jaws open when not in use.
The tweezers are pretty thick and not whimpy coke can that can grab any imbedded splinters.
The serrated and straight blade seem pretty stout and will hold a decent edge for cooking, cleaning fish etc, Not hacking wood or building a shelter.
The straight edged screwdriver tips are also stout but the 'phillips' blade seems hokey and really just a modified single edge screwdriver blade.
Certainly decent for $10 and would be a good longer lasting pocket knife or companion to a survival knife/kit.
