|BriarRose||I'm a foodie, so love food debates, and loving this thread. We raised a cow and named it Cheeseburger... no hormones allowed to roam and butcher did all the hard stuff for us. $100 for the butcher and we had meat for a yr... Holy cow it was good. But really... I sent in a cow but can't honestly say if the meat came from my cow. The cost may have been what made it so delicious. Point is... You can't believe the packaging, so many loopholes and hand shaking that to really be aware of what u r eating you need to do all the work yourself.|

Does anyone know thee answer to the question that was asked earlier? How many pounds of ground beef can we buy with this coupon?
I LOVE grain fed beef. The flavor is amazing. However, I can't usually justify in my mind its cost. I grew up with parents who bought the cheapest ground beef they could find and drained the grease carefully. This is what I was taught:

The crazy part is the "OMG it's gonna kill you" people. yea, it might shave a few years off on average. Then again people do horrible stuff till their 100+. If they've got money to burn on $8 hamburger and want to buy "organic" good for them. But while their doing their whole uptight self righteous lecturing they fail to realize people who can afford "cheap" food and pay their bills live a hell of a lot longer than those who can't and starve.

|skibumintahoe||Got the Q's on the iPhone. Any idea how to print out so I can use at Publix since they will give $1 off their brand as competitor Q?|

Seriously, who jumps in a thread for a sale on hamburger with a personal/political agenda? It's a SALE. For those of us trying to SAVE money. No matter what you think it's not going to hurt anyone anymore than the normal hamburger us normal people buy(and probably not at all). You want to have an argument about food quality have it else ware.

^ Exactly. When I switched from a low fat to a low carb diet I lost 40 pounds and feel (and look) a lot better.
But is this dead? I texted "picnic" to the number listed yesterday and so far nothing.

When I was younger I had a friend who's dad was a complete health nut. He would only eat fish and chicken, no fried, everything baked, nothing processed. Had his own garden. He would get up in the morning and run 5 miles, he would get home and run another 5 miles. On the weekends or when he was off work he would run 20 miles. This guys was to me a radical nut case. I hadn't seen my friend in many years. I asked him" how is your dad" He told me "he died 3 years after I seen you last" That would of made this guy 38. What did he die of? Cancer. I figured this guy would of lived to over 100.
If spending over $7 on hamburger and that is what you want to do, then by all means do it. But what I get a charge out of is, these people that spend $6 on a dozen eggs, because they are free range. It still came out of a chickens butt. I would really like to have seen the first guy to eat a chicken egg. Oh look something white just popped out of that chickens butt, lets eat it. LOL...

I CAN make regular supermarket beef taste really good, but it would take a lot more additives to make it such.
I will leave it at that. Everybody has their own facts and ideas. I weighed 210 lbs 6 months ago. I cut out a lot of junky, higher fat, high sodium junk from my diet. Now I'm 180 lbs and feel a lot better.
Just please try to think before you eat - that's all.

I thought this thread was supposed to be about a deal, not a health lesson. If you don't want in on the deal, GTFO and leave us be!
To the OP, thanks! I picked up two packs today!

I won't post the difference between the two and why it is a big NO NO. If you want to research it there are plenty of FACTS on the reputable web sites.
