Good point. I exclusively use back button focus.

|jbm7777||Great lens, I had it since day 1. Really fantastic, crazy sharp, well built. Focusing is good, better than any other sigma I've ever had. I've experienced a little focus shift at different distances, brought it into sigma and they said it was solid with no issues. If you feel that you have a lens with focus issues, the new dock which can be rented at lensrentals for 20 bucks, allows you to calibrate and microadjust the lens at 4 different distances. Which should fix any focus issues and from reports on the forums it seems to be doing just that. Hope my .02 helped some people make a decision.|

|tuanms||In for the filter.|

|mxyx||Not bad considering the filter sells for about $38 by itself.|

I bought this lens for $900 on amazon and ended up returning it due to what I thought were focusing issues in different light (artificial vs natural). However I think that had more to do with me than the lens. Focusing an f/1.4 lens at 1.4 is tough.
I don't regret returning it but I will no longer blame the lens.

|bobby350z||Wish it was like $800 or so. Then I can sell my 35L and get this.|

A better question may be why is the 30mm is 100x more than a sketchbook + pencil?
I can't answer for everyone but I have no time to draw anything.
