I have used the amazon prime for free for 1 month last year and then cancelled it. I see that amazon prime gives free 6 months if you are a student. I graduated college couple of years ago but still remember my college email address. Does anyone know if i could get free 6 months of prime if i use that edu address? I had never used it before.

|SDNYC||My .edu Prime is about to expire. I'd imagine others are in the same boat, given when most of us got in on this last year. Anyone have any new ideas on how to extend for free? Amazon offered to extend for $39/yr, but I have a problem with paying anything for Prime ...|

This is the thread i wanted to ask this question.
I had used a free month trial of amazon prime back last year for 30 days. Well i read online that if you have a college email address with .edu, you can get it free for 6 months. I graduated college many years ago so would i still be eligible for this even though i used my amazon prime free trial last year for 1 month? I see that it allows 6 months for ppl who are students?
If not, i have another family member who is in college and they never had amazon prime. Would they be able to sign up for it?

that is exactly why this gets messed up for those of us that have a REAL maricopa edu email. I'm glad they're banning those fraud account as you should be a student to get a STUDENT discount

Amazon is now deleting accounts using maricopa.edu. I just signed up for an account yesterday and received a confirmation email. Today, I tried to sign in and couldn't log in. I emailed customer service but they showed no account under that email address. I went to sign up again and I received an error saying that the email address was used on a past student account.

|joogle||i think folks early on who were able to add a family member, it would be advantageous if you just renewed. as i believe after a while you couldn't add a family member with student prime|
