The $400 was the equivalent in US dollars of the board where it was being sold in taiwan. What it doesnt tell you is that the p67 boards there cost about that much. So the Z68 was almost the same price as p67. Dont expect it to cost much more than current p67. Maybe less than $50 per series. It wont be $400 here unless you are talking about a top of the line board like some p67 boards are near $400 now. Also rumor is that p67 and h67 might be getting SSD caching feature via bios update anyway after z68 ships. So if you already have a nice setup with p67 and a great GPU then you might not need z68.

i'm doing the research on tomshardware and lots of benchmarks came up through various threads
imo...definitely worth going with SB 2x00K
lower power consumption = less money spent on PS and electricity while running faster

i just brought all the components for my i7-950 from newegg.. its it worth it to return it and buy this or are the gains not worth it.
I spent 240 for the cpu, 80 for the triple channel ddr3 and 179 for the motherboard. I would have to return all of this and buy this and new ram and motherboard. Is it worth it?

In either case, it seems like Z68 should be coming out in May, so I will just wait and see what the price is like.
