We moved recently and have been watching for a great front loader deal. We ended up going with the Samsung 350s at Lowes.
Washer Item #: 327003 / Model # WF350ANW 27% off $999 made it $721
Dryer Item #: 327004 / Model # DV350AEW 23% off $999 made it $764
.... plus the 10% movers coupon, plus 5% for Lowes CC and Texas has no tax today on Energy Star.. we are at $1692 delivered with pedastals (199.99 before discounts EACH). Not a wild deal, but about the best I have been able to find with SS drums and steam washer/dryer.. I also really wanted LG or Samsung based on reviews. Wife said the steam was a must have; personally I could do without.. she suggested I could do the laundry.. I decided I would get the steamers.. hehe.

|The_Whaler||I got the washer(WFW9150WW) and the gas dryer(WGD9150WW) back in January and have had absolutely no issues with them. They work great. I paid $803.59(including 6% tax) delivered for them with no interest for 6months.|

Update: Lowes contacted me almost immediately, told me there was a price mistake, and knocked an additional $30 off of what I was charged for the warranties. I didn't call them--they called me.
Color me impressed.

In terms of brand reliability from Consumer Reports, Whirlpool is tied with several other vendors for second place (LG is first).
Conumer reports rates this machine as "good" for washing performance and noise, "very good" for vibration, and "excellent" for energy efficiency, water efficiency, capacity, and gentleness.
Typically, machines which save water and energy don't wash as well. No surprise there.
I bought the washer, GAS dryer, two stands, and +4 year warranty (5 yr total) for both for $1,383.13 after tax (and free shipping). I used a 10% movers coupon, which DIDN'T apply to the warranty. Appliances are to be delivered in 7 days.
I would not have bought this washer without an extended warranty. I had one simple service call on a fridge a year ago, and paid $95.
For comparison purposes, Sears warranties are twice as expensive. I was quoted $249.99 for four years on a $600 washer.

Darn it, I just bought this package last month, I just called the 800# and the will have the store manager to call me back to let me know if they can "match" their own website.
I can't find any price guarantee policy on their site, any body have this experience?
