I bought the 8000 around Labor Day and the machine has been going strong.
I think this model 7000/8000 were made specifically for Lowes.
These are newer/refreshed models, not the ones from a few years ago. http://www.nsf.org/Certified/Prot...any=4K81
Here are two threads with some good info.

The samsungs look comparable but with maybe a few less features (like no steam). I almost bought the 330s the night before I got this set, but the dryer had bad reviews so I was a little concerned.
As far as stacking the 5%, as I mentioned in the first post, you can only do it online. I even posted a screencap of my receipt in one of these threads (for this exact combo), but you could go through the checkout process and see.

|kazaamut||Can anyone confirm that the 5% for using a lowes cc will stack? And specifically if it'll work if I apply for it when I purchase the set? I tried to do it in store but they wouldn't allow it. I'd rather buy it online and take that 5% if I can. Also, can anyone compare these to the Samsung 210's? I'm not in a big rush to buy a set, and was waiting for the Samsungs because of their reputation, but this seems like a good enough deal to bite. Thanks in advance.|

|coreanbbq||Anyone else tempted to get these over the cheaper whirlpool set on sale? I like that it has the allergen reducer, as well as the stainless steel dryer tub-- but is that worth about $200 more?? Anyone pull the trigger on these, if so how do you like it?|

I want to wait until the weekend too.
However my concern is that this model (which got much better reviews than the other) might be OOS if I wait.

|parquedematthew||Still debating between this and the Whirpool set on sale. I went and looked at both at the store but am still torn. I like that this has steam features but the reviews are definitely more questionable. Good thing is I should be able to get a 10% mover's coupon and this weekend is tax free for energy star for me so that should save me another $40.|

|frickNfrack||I have the Affinity washer and over time it got louder and louder. Had a service tech out and he said its normal but its really loud and was very quiet the first few months. I would not buy another.|
