|prawnstar43||My mother-in-law bought one from woot.com a few weeks ago and it was DOA. =( It makes a horrible racket noise and it doesn't suck up anything. Just a warning to anyone thinking of biting on this refurb.|

|Meatwallet||I bought one a few weeks ago on the same deal and received it earlier in the week. Everything looked good straight out of the package. I was truly amazed at how well this thing worked, it really does work better then any other vacuum I have used.|

I ordered mine from the last Slickdeal about two weeks ago and got it yesterday. It did take a while to get delivered, but it is a vacuum and not a kidney.
Got it out of the box and the beater brush was broken and locked up which caused the clutch to make a terrible racket. It took a good 10 mins to get the thing out of the packaging so the last thing I wanted to do was ship back to Woot. Called Dyson and the rep immediately asks where I purchased it from and tells me that due to the extraordinary number of calls regarding broken machines from Woot I need to contact them.
It took me 15 mins to reinforce the message that I bought this from an authorized dealer, this was a manufacturing defect and judging by the Dyson reman warranty paperwork in the box, this was Dyson problem. I explained that making Dyson't issue with an authorized seller my problem was bad for business. He finally agrees to have a repair shop fix it, they won't let me replace the beater bar because it would void the warranty.
The repair shop is very close to my house and taking it to be fixed is much better than boxing it back up, sending it to Woot then having them send me another vacuum that according to Dyson will most likely show up broken as well. Additionally I looked at Woot's return policy and it pretty much says you are screwed
Even considering the hassle you can't beat the price. Just be prepared that there is higher than average chance that you will have an issue. There is a thread on Woot's community section about this same problem happening to a number of the DC-14 vacuums.

Just got mine in the mail from the same deal a couple weeks ago. Yes, slow shipping - but whatever. Who's actually needs a vacuum cleaner "ASAP"? Just use your old one or borrow your neighbors...let's get serious.
I gave it a test drive today. I have a small area rug on top of a hardwood floor in my living room. It didn't even look dirty, but I just wanted to see what this baby could do. I ran it for probably 1 minute tops...looked in the filter and was ASTONISHED. I couldn't believe what this thing sucked up. Probably 3 fist fulls of dirt and grime. I'm still in awe.
This thing is great and worth every penny.
