Never got my small business $25 creidt to my Citi Dividend American Express, AMEX basically scammed me into going and spending $25 at a small business... here's hoping the Sync'ed promotion works out better, at least this one seems to have a customer support form unlike the small business day promo: https://sync.americanex

Finally got my credit today.
Didn't get the credit for over 2 weeks after the purchase so I waited until my statement cut without the credit posting and finally called. Talked to a very nice CSR who took down info about my purchase and said she would look into it, and if there were any problems she'd call back. She never called back so I figured the credit was on it's way, but I checked a couple times a week and didn't see anything post. Decided to wait until my next statement cut without the credit posting before calling again. When I called the 2nd time the CSR saw the info from my previous call, apologized for the credit failing to post yet, and said it would post to my account within 1-2 days. Low and behold, the next day the $25 credit posted to my account as "CR ADJ FOR BILLING INQUIR".
Bottom line, if you haven't gotten your credit(s) keep calling. AMEX is not Chase or Citi or BOA. They will take care of it [eventually].

Amex makes it really easy to dispute something.
For those who didn't get the credit, just dispute it. They'll almost always remove it, in my experience.

Looking at this from afar, the problem isn't really with Amex SBS. It seems rooted in a vendor that is loosey goosey about bill / transaction / invoice dates.
How about this as a last try- ask Amex if the vendor did a hold on your card when you had dinner. You know, to make sure the card is not stolen, etc. That would show you were there on SBS, not SBS+1.
