You bought something and six months later the price dropped. You're no more entitled to compensation than you would be for anything that goes on sale months after you've purchased it.

I remember the first day they launched their homepage mentioned how they were like a hybrid and how Verizon and at&t were greedy oil companies.
It didn't even stay up all day and was changed to remove the at&t and Verizon wording, I'm guessing because someone in legal probably told them to.
But that's how I knew I would like them. But they failed on their promises. I wish them luck. Hopefully maybe with LTE they'll really start to take off.
"Hybrid Calling is just like a hybrid car, only Verizon and AT&T are the greedy oil companies."

Which provider did you choose to replace RW?

...they promised new "low, mid, and high end" smartphones like since June of last year. And all they had to show for it was the Defy, which they botched first with only a single band model, and running Gingerbread with no root access. (for comparison the Optimus S they launched came PRE-ROOTED, and I had a nice ICS build on it).
And despite the fact that the global/Chinese Defy XT gets ICS, Republic has stated that their version will stay on Gingerbread. Seriously, I got so fed up with them.
Have they fixed freaking MMS support yet? They were supposed to last May but kept pushing it back. Does Republic do MMS now?

Last day to pick up single band Defy XT for free (Wave A). I ordered mine this morning and it already shipped. If any of you are on the fence between getting the single band for free or the dual band for $150, I recommend grabbing the free phone. Here's what Republic Wireless has to say on their blog:

7 days left to get the single band Defy XT for free (Wave A). BTW, those phones aren't new, they're are B-stock.
