It's too bad many of you got bad ones. I've been very happy with mine since it got here, has a very slight bloom on the bottom right corner that's not very noticeable unless your looking at a black screen, other then that no issues and looks great. I haven't noticed any full white issues at all and the color is spot on with lots of adjustabililty.
I was willing to take a risk for the price paid and figured if I couldn't stand it it would get RMA'd or get my money back.
It does sound like they are willing to work with customers who got bad ones or just refund their money so except for having to deal with getting it shipped back and either hoping for a better one or money back you end up alright one way or the other.
I always prefer to get ones locally so I can easily return it if I have issues but sometimes the deal is worth some risk and this was one of them.

Long story short, I'm a monitor whore... have owned countless different kinds, sizes, models, and technologies. These monitors, by far, had THE worst backlight bleed I have ever seen in any display ever, and I've owned some pretty cheap monitors (which these were not).
I was blasted on youtube for my review, saying that I probably just received lemons, yadda yadda. Fast forward 9 months, and LG can't sell the refurb ones fast enough because apparently they're getting A LOT of returns.
It's not just back light bleed either, if you watch my review, there's a bad problem with lighting consistency in general. On a white screen, one side of the monitor would be white, while the other was a distinct shade of gray. It was that bad.

The customer support is excellent however, and they are paying for shipping for both monitors back to them, and will issue a refund of $159.99. I guess now it's time to start looking at other options out there.

I bought one of these at $160 price just days before the price dropped to $135. Shipping was VERY fast, and I love the monitor. However, the top right and bottom right corners of the screen have very bad back-light bleed through. This means when you have a dark image or dark movie on the screen, the right side of the screen is yellow and not black.
It is terribly annoying, at any price point. The seller directed me to ask for an exchange and sent a link to a website that is not theirs. After graciously leaving neutral feedback for them, they contacted me to send another monitor out, and they are also emailing a return shipping label for this one on their dime. Customer service was very helpful on the phone, and was a guy in chicago that speaks perfect english :-)
So, it remains to be seen in the next few days if the replacement monitor they send has a dead pixel or also has back light bleed through. Hopefully not. I'll let you all know.

|Dartman||Mine has, let me check, preset, then underneath it has warm, medium, and cool. Warm is sposed to look a tiny bit red I think, medium is neutral or maybe standard 6500 and cool is usually a bit blue but it depends on how accurately the decide to set each preset. I set mine to user and did the RGB till I got it the way I want it to look, like you did. It also has that 6 color adjustment that will be fun to play with sometimes if I want to make it really vivid or want to exactly match a calibration setup or a photo or something. None of the other monitors I have had have that 6 color thing, even some of the high end 21" CRT ones I used to run.|

I'm sure mine is normal, and my fluorescent-backlit panel is just warm. Hard to decide which is correct. I knew it was still a bad idea to have two different monitors, but couldn't afford two of these.

Mine looked warm to me and that was what it was set for outa the box.

I set mine to sRGB and it mellowed it out a bit. It's pretty close to my HP 2465 that I use for photo work.
The good news is I didn't get a bum panel. The bad news is...it's not as different from the cheap Spectre TN panel it replaced as I would have expected. Still, a good deal.

|stormlight||You may get dead pixel with LG refurbish. I had bought 24 of LG refurb from Overstock.com in the past for work. 20" 4:3 ratio because no one makes them anymore. They were IPS. Each have their own defect... dead pixel, flash light, watermark, stuck pixel. LG refurb are like grade B new stock. The monitors physical condition was in perfect state though. Just a heads up.|

The second touch button from the right side is the input select so maybe you should try that and see if that makes it work. Mines hooked up to a 4870x2 with DVI outputs to the DVI in and it automatically seemed to find that one but maybe HDMI is different or like you said maybe you card isn't outputting to HDMI like you hoped.
I guess we should all get smart and actually load up the disk that came with the monitor as I bet the drivers and manual are on it and our question would probably be answered.

how to get the HDMI work? the DVI input is working for me, but when I hook it up to hdmi input, no signal shows up
my pc mother board is 88g-E35, there is no option in the BIOS to select the video output

You can try mine and see if you like them : Brightness 50, Contrast 76, sharpness 8.
I set the gama to 2.4, factory is 2.2, and I tweaked the RGB settings till my B/W picture looked right but those settings should be a bit different for every monitor so don't know if mine will work on anyone else's. This guy also has 6 color settings so you can fine tune the color palette of the monitor exactly where you want it or your calibration program tells you it needs to be, pretty cool, just found that one myself.

|Vyse||Anyone have any good setting recommendations for this?|
