Use a real company....like Consumer Reports. They rank Micro Center #1 in customer service along with Apple.

Not all the TCLs are Samsung..so I'd be careful when getting one of those.
I'm looking into a Hisense at Wal-Mart, I'm hoping I figure out good news..just so anyone knows..it's $400 for a 40 inch 120hz lcd and seeing it actually on I was impressed for the price..something tells me it is a decent display but I don't know anything about it

Other than that, I have only done business through brick and mortar with them and it's the same with every other computer parts store; their employees are useless and you need to know how to help yourself. Good prices on Apple products and Intel processors from time to time.

Which Kmart model are you talking about?
The Seiki models?

these off brand tvs are NEVER for sure, but the one I looked at used samsung remote codes and had a nearly identical menu to my samsung monitor
and the salesmen mentioned the hitachi thing
which I believe, because if you keep up with radio shack, they've gotten a ton of hitachi 32 inch displays for $260 on "clearance" [they were never sold regular price]
and kmart sold the same exact tv for $199 their black friday
[coincidentally, kmart is the only big box nationwide to actively sell HITACHI televisions]
you do the math..but at $199 it is worth it, better than element, tcl, and westinghouse..

I can't even find an Ario website. You would think if Viore made that brand there would be some reference online somewhere.
|12-02-2011 12:44 AM|
regardless of a messed up spec sheet
ario is a rebranded viore which is a rebranded akai...
which is either a samsung or hitachi [which used to make screens for fujitsu and also sony]
this TV will probably calibrate very well and I would not be surprised if it is better than lots of the budget BF tvs
but lcds even leds suck...need a $200 tv? find a used 08-09 plasma on craigslist [which is probably still under its 2-3 year warranty and will last you another 5 years]

|ben7337||OMG the fabled 60hz LED backlit plasma TV, it's like finding a unicorn! How did they ever combine two completely different display technologies in such an awesome orgy or cheapness?!|
