|Mnem||Are most SSDs 2.5"? That's all I've been seeing these deals for lately. I'm looking for an SSD to put my OS on for my desktop, so size doesn't matter.|

if you want reliability over speed improvement that you wont even feel, go for this drive.
This is the most reliable SSD to date along with Intel SSD's

some reviews on the 470 series
performance is impressive for something that came out 1 year ago
but in today's SSD market, there are some better choices out there, just need to wait patiently for a deal (like the crucial M4)
but if you desperately need an SSD and is fine with SATA II, then go for this Samsung

|jilee86||This is a good price, but not a great deal, since the newer SATA III version, the 830 Series can be had for $199 at Newegg right now (128GB too). It even comes with Batman Arkham City. You can sell that on Ebay for $20-$25 I think and the price difference between these two generations of SSDs is pretty small.|

|Elpee||Thanks, Selma. But still waiting for a Sata III ssd deal.|

|Xymox||Agreed. I want to get in on the deal, but anything that expensive I want more details...and reviews. I'd ask the same of any escort service.|

There is NOT a whole lot of detail ascribed to the this SSD from Newegg as far as power consumption, type of controller, garbage collection/TRIM, etc....
A worrisome detail inadvertently left out ? I like it when Newegg, of all vendors, goes to the MAX to provide such detailed product information on the SSD's (as well as other PC products) they sell, but I don't know if it is just me, or whether they've been skimping on their product details as of lately...or who knows if for how long.
Is that typical for a new SSD being that (correct me if I am wrong) it was just released by Samsung as their first, or shortly thereafter, attempt at a SSD ?
Samsung quality is top-notch....but I don't know how to weigh this SSD in terms of what it is offering on paper like Newegg usually used to do.
