So for first 6 months, you deal with Sprint as well as Amazon. After 6 months, you deal with only Sprint (about ETF issues etc).
More info here.

My phone is rooted, and I am using hotspot soaking up as much of Sprint's pathetic bandwidth as I can.
No, you cannot get this phone deal with a SERO-P contract. Good luck with that.

I know someone with a rooted evo used the free hotspot feature daily for over a year with no consequences.

|Dave30||If you root this phone and get terminated for excessive data/unauthorized PRL, even if Sprint doesn't charge you an $300 ETF, Amazon will. In worst cases they both will. Same applies to those whom buy this to flip Craigslist...|

Have your changed your plan from SERO to SERO-P before you emailed Amazon?

Did you do the upgrade purchase completely on the website or did you do it over the phone?
When I tried to go through the process via the website, it would not let me proceed without choosing one of their listed plans (which did not include SERO).

If others had similar experiences they can chime in too.
