Nothing out of the ordinary, I selected theater mode. Adjust the brightness to your liking.

I bought this ASUS monitor a few weeks ago with the same deal (160 shipped then 10 rebate)
Monitor looks great, no dead pixels, just had to adjust some settings to get the colors how I wanted but it's definitely worth it in the 150 range

Some brands for monitors and TVs have even been caught changing the panel type without changing the model number. That can make even following reviews tricky. AOC, for instance, sent out a monitor with a VA panel. Later, it started selling the monitor -- without changing the model number -- with a cheaper TN panel. One could say that this is a good reason to avoid that brand, but people who purchased TN AOC monitors, knowing they're TN, may have been quite satisfied with their purchases. It really is best to try to find out what you can about the specific model rather than focusing on brand name.

|just4ivaylo||I have two of the ASUS monitors on my desk as I type this. I snagged one when they came out for $220 and got another one on Black Friday for $169. They're awesome for the price.|

I'm an engineer, so I have to think logarithmically, linearly and exponentially on demand.
