how does cpu turbo work...and...
How does the CPU turbo work?
And how does this deal compare to this laptop for $30 less:
The lenovo for $400 has a B960 2.2GHz CPU vs. a A6-3400M 1.4GHz CPU for the $430 Ideapad model.

Just wanted to mention (for whoever is eligible) that neweggbusiness has the lenovos it for the same price as regular newegg, but is also offering a freebie 32GB SSD for purchases over $99.
I was skimming an old thread about signing up for neweggbusiness where people used their SSN for their business' Federal Tax ID #. Is there any downside to doing this?

|PeterParker||Not sure if people realize this or not but A8 and A6 are same CPU cores. They're exactly the same except that they run at a different speeds. If you use K10STAT or other overclocking program you can easily get this A6-3400M to A8 speeds. I have Gateway NV55S09U that I got for $379.00 with pretty much the same spec and it O/C to 2.0 Ghz without a problem. Didn't need to raise the voltage or anything and it runs below 60 C most of the time. More typically around 55 C.|

From what I understand Squaretrade covers anything that can go wrong with it with an accidental damage warranty (i purchased 2 for my kids Samsung Galaxy 4.0) They cover up to the cost of the item so if you do 500.00 worth of damage they just give you your 500.00 back, if you do 250.00 worth of damage they fix it and you have a remaining 250 worth of coverage. If you damage again and that damage is over the 250.00 they just give you the 250.00. This is what the guy explained to me on the phone. I havent actually had to use one of the warranties though.

Alright guys so im on the edge of buying this. I was in the market to buying a new laptop for a while. I trust lenovo over hp because they farked me over by having to send in a (less than a year old) laptop to their repair center TWICE. Also sony vaio's plastic laptops are terrible. That laptop's gpu crapped out in less than two years. So someone convince me that i should take this deal despite the purple interior from what people say, and also in comparison to other deals right now. Also i want to know about the warranties. Should i trust squaretrade warranty and pay two years for $80? Or the $120.xx for the accidental damage too? Are they worth it? Do they really cover the entire laptop if something happens with the hardware or what not? Any other warranties that are better that i should look into if not squaretrade from anyones experience? I have the money to buy it tonight if you guys reply back asap. Thanks so much and i hope i can finally get a laptop asap. I miss my other two ones and i hate this farking gateway p.o.s im on right now.
Also if you guys know of a deal better than the one on tigerdirect that if im not mistaken, people are talking about then let me know. Also if the A6 has that much of a difference compared to the A8? I guess including the graphics ordeal too. BTW, i most likely wont be pc gaming because i have a 360 and will probably just use for programs/word/internet/school etc.

interesting...... that could be a deal breaker for some..
The performance should be on a level of a Mobility Radeon HD 5650 graphics card. Therefore, modern 3D games of 2011 should run fluently in medium to high details in 1366x768. The Intel HD Graphics 3000 card in the Intel Sandy Bridge processors is clearly slower in comparison.
The performance of the Radeon 6480G should be in the entry level class of dedicated graphics cards. According to a benchmark by AMD, the 6480G positions itself between the HD 6370M and the HD 6470M. In our gaming benchmarks, the HD 6480G is only on the level of a slow Intel HD Graphics 3000 graphics card. Therefore, modern games like Anno 2070 are playable only in minimum detail settings and low resolutions. Some demanding games like Battlefield 3 wont be playable at all

Rep told me it was not 6620 like the newegg deal but rather 6480 model. Havent researched how much difference there is but I thought I would post this FYI...

The buttons across the top right side for volumemute are not really buttons.. you just touch them and they respond.
