I didn't get the $25 eBay Gift Certificate though...did anyone else? When I contacted customer service for it, they said "I don't have the answer." ~_~
Also, does anyone know if it's a common issue for this phone to not have signal sometimes? Sometimes it's just not connected to the mobile network/3G/4G. I won't be able to connect to the internet or receive text messages. Sometimes when I turn the phone back off and back on, I'll receive a flood of text messages that were never delivered. It's too late for the 30-day return policy...any advice?

|Elevatorguy||Is there a separate early termination fee with Best Buy in addition to the Sprint ETF? If so, how much is it and will it be waived if Sprint does another Terms and Conditions change like the one that is currently going on? Does anyone know if they charge tax on the full unsubsidized cost of the phone in Massachusetts? As far as buying online and setting up a corporate discount, does anyone have any information as to what they need for "proof" to get it done? Thanks for any and all info.|

Long story short, I ported out to a Walmart $10 TracFone almost two weeks ago, and saw that the line was removed from Sprint's website pretty quickly. I spent a couple days trying to call Best Buy Mobile Solution's CS line, and dealt with long hold times, and at least twice I was on hold for half an hour or more and was hung up on after someone finally answered (I'm hoping those were both accidents. The reason I wanted to place an order over the phone was because their website doesn't allow you to "Add a line" to an existing family plan - you can only "Add a plan" to your account (which would be a new individual plan). Some reps I talked to told me that I can just place the order like that and when I activate it, Sprint can make sure it gets added to the existing family plan and not a new individual plan. I wanted proof of it, so I did an online chat with Sprint to make sure they told me in writing that they could do so.
So I purchased the phone (came out to $8.99 shipping I believe) and for two days it was showing as "Processing" when I was checking the order status. Had to call BB Mobile Solutions CS again and go through all the hold times again until someone said they called the vendor (ebay) and that they'd put the order through. I got an e-mail confirmation the next day.
Once I got the phone, I called BB Mobile Solutions CS to get it activated and port over my original phone number from TracFone. On hold for a long time again, and finally got connected to a nice lady who got Sprint on the line to get my phone activated on the family plan. When I asked them to port over the phone number, they asked me what carrier, and I said TracFone. They said no, we need a carrier name. I said the only thing on the box I purchased is TracFone...not AT&T, Verizon, etc. for an account number. They asked for an account number so I gave them the serial number on the TracFone account page (I didn't see an account number of any sort), and they said that's not the account number. I told them that it was the only number available. They said well, if it's really the account number then it should go through by 8:30pm on the night that I called...it was only a couple hours. I thought great! This will all be over after tonight!
Flash forward 3 days...still didn't have my number ported over. Called a couple times within that time to try to reach the rep that had helped me the first time, and people said she wasn't in and left her a message. Never got a phone call so I called them AGAIN (yes, same hold time situation) and just asked whoever answered to help me with the problem and find out why it still wasn't ported in. Another 10 minute hold while she called Sprint and then she informed me it should be done by 12:14am (approximately 3 hours after the call). Great...except that it still wasn't ported over when I woke up the next morning.
Luckily, it was ported over the next day in the evening before I called BB Mobile Solutions again to bitch them out. A long long ordeal taking 2 week or more for me to get it all over and done with, but I was able to port out and back in, with a free new Samsung Galaxy S II and my original number. I also did not see any ETF fees on our most current bill this week.

NO!!!! darn... haha, I'm not due to switch to sprint till the end of the month, and Target's deal ends today. Oh well, hopefully some other nice deal comes through later

Well it looks like its over. Man I was going to do it last night be said "I'll wait till morning". This just goes to show you that to be an SDer you need to get it quick and get it early. Maybe next time.
Target still has the $49.99 deal and Sams club is now $98 if anyone else sees this reply.

Somewhere in the ordering process, it does give you the option to "use a new phone number" or "transfer your phone number from another carrier"...so I just went ahead and put in my current phone number (that I had ported out from Sprint to TracFone). When I finally got my order confirmation today, I logged onto my Sprint account to check what everything looked like, and it seems that they added a line to my family plan (even though I only had the choice to choose an individual plan on the BB website), so that's good. But the phone number on that new phone is different from what I put (and not a number I'd seen before). Hopefully this is just a "temporary" phone number before I activate it with my existing phone number?
