Just a FYI. I assume I'm not the only one here that had this happen. I cancelled auto-renewal a year ago. Then late Dec/early Jan (a month ago) I got the "we are turning on auto-renewal" email so I logged back in and turned it back off again. Now this am I see that they billed my credit card $49.99 anyway. I filled out their refund request form and if they don't get back to me within 24 hours I'll be disputing with the credit card company...

|edog11||Thanks for heads up. I got the email even though my subscription expired 7/2012(6 month trial). TD sucks just installing the software last year almost forced me to reformat my computer. I uninstalled right after I got the HR Block software.|

Same issue here. Warning others in the other forum. For H&R Block Deluxe for Free, there's already an active deal this year:

Yeah I had canceled automatic renewal last year but I got that renewal notice as well. Tricky tricky. The link in the e-mail doesn't work but if you go here you can cancel auto renewal:
If they're doing something like this again this year I want it. Otherwise I'm just going to pay the $5 or $10 or whatever it is now to get the H&R Block Deluxe.

|satanslover||Yeah I got that email today, and I thought I would have cancelled it and I managed to find the renewal page with a bit of googling. CA and TD suck.|

Since the link in the email does not work, you have to go to http://my.totaldefense

Anyone remember this deal from last year? I got a 30 day warning for the autorenewal. I cancelled it last year when I did the deal. I click on the "opt out" of autorenewal in the email and it's a broken link. I try to reset my password to log in and it says I don't have an account. Anyone else getting this?
NVM. Fixed. The "opt out" link in the email was sending me to ca.com. I googled up total defense and went to that website instead. I do indeed have an acct. I logged in and auto renewal was on. I turned it off.

I hit the stupid Form 4952 cannot be $0 bug that stopped me from E-filing. Work around to add $1 in the other expenses mini-sheet worked for me though.

I am running into a different problem.
I got the email with the keycode.
Installed the software, installed state and filled up everything.
But when I do the federal free efile, it gives me keycode for federal is not valid.
any one face similar issue and any resolutions to it ??
