|robs411||VeeRob, 6 1/2 weeks, I'm jealous. For that long of a trip I would imagine you are bringing some luggage. The Airbus to Montreal had fairly good overhead storage for a roll on suit case, the 767 sucked, and lots of people had crowded the bins with coats, jackets and stuff that could have gone under the seat. I would suggest checking bags, that is what we did for the return trip.|

Awesome trip report, robs411.
I fly out Wednesday the 21st... anyone on that flight?
I'll be gone for 6 1/2 weeks, so I will NOT be posting my trip report here.

Travel Dates: 3/8 – 3/11
Route: Orlando – Montreal – Brussels
Cities Visited: Brussels, Brugge, Oostende, Lille (France).
This was a fast paced Spring Break sprint for my Fiancé and I. Neither of us had traveled to Europe before and the deal was too much to pass up, even though we had limited time. Our 3 night, 4 day adventure was totally worth it, although I would have loved to stay a week +, our schedules just did not allow it.
Flights: Air Canada flew all segments of the route, overall pleased with the service, no major issue or MAJOR delays. Each flight was late, but nothing too serious.
Eurocar: We rented a car from Eurocar, it was brand-new and customer service was adequate. I used an app on my iPad to navigate and if you are thinking of driving, make sure you have GPS. Street signs can be hidden (on the side of buildings) and round abouts are plentiful.
Brugge: The city is very old and lots to see and take in. The canal tour was well worth the money and I would recommend it for first-timers. None, of the restaurants we ate at were overly impressive, but none were so bad they need to be avoided. Not speaking the language (Dutch / French) really made looking over menus difficult. When I travel finding great places to eat is normally a priority. I simply had not researched food enough.
Oostende: A small little city on the West end of Belgium on the North Sea. The city seems to be
largely dominated with private sail boats but our visit in March is obviously a little early to see much activity on this front. It was cloudy and misty on our day so none of the beaches were active but may be worth checking out in the summer months.
Lillie France: Lillie had a very active town square with impressive architecture. The city provides lots of opportunities for shopping.
Brussels: Parking was very difficult and some of the parking garages can be difficult to find. They had several of the streets blocked for some reason and it made it difficult to navigate, even the locals were surprised by the detours. We found a place that made great Waffels, Dandoy, I would highly recommend trying the liege waffle, it exceeded expectations.
Overall, we really just glossed over the sights and all the cities deserve much more time to fully appreciate. If anyone has any questions feel free to ask me, I will try my best to answer.
