FYI, this had no effect on my mileage. I wasn't expecting it to, but just letting others know in case they think it will. Of course, YMMV!
FYI #2, I got an ad from Pep Boys yesterday saying that the 12 oz version of this Techron FSC is on sale for $5.

The relationship between engine revs and actual speed is determined by the transmission. What you have reported is pure placebo effect. My car seems much much faster after a wash and a wax.

|beowulf7||I used a 12 oz can of this yesterday in my car. Tank was almost empty, I poured in the 12 oz. can, and then filled up w/ super unleaded (what my car requires). After almost 10 years, it's the first time I used a fuel system cleaner. In the ~14 mi. of driving I've done since then, I have to admit that I've noticed the car is a little peppier. Before, if I slammed the gas pretty hard, the revs would go up faster than the speed. Now it seems to be behaving like when the car was newer. I'll continue monitoring this. And while the Techron FSC doesn't mention above improving mileage, I'll look to see what it is the next time I fill up and do the calculation.|

O'Reilly's / Kragen Auto parts has Buy 1 Get 1 on the 20 oz for $12.49 if you have their stores close...

BTW, how I use Techron is to run my tank dry while driving with my 2.5 gallon jug (filled to 2.0 gallons) 'at the ready'. I pour in Techron and then the 2 gallons petrol, drive for a few miles (on high concentration, if you will...) to allow Techron to degunk the sending unit in my fuel tank, etc. and then stop in at a station for a fill a few miles away. The concentration of the Techron should still be strong enough to treat a full tank and work your injectors clean as you drive.
I never tried doing a PM at Advance, but I have had a negative experience trying to get Autozone to PM PB. Around where I live, the nearest PB is around 40-50 miles away, so the AZ manager expressed to me that she does not feel compelled to PM a PB price. (My daily commute to work takes me past the PB, so it was 'no sweat' flipping the bird at AZ.)
I find that AZ stores in my area are arrogant in general, and that that attitude is reflected in their lack of decent sales/discounts. Mechanics kinda suck @$$ in my area as well, since so many people depend on their cars.... After a $40 flat tire "fix" that went "badly", I didn't even want to know what I'd be charged for a "serious" repair issue. Hence, I started conducting my own maintenance on my ride.

|johnhenry1933||I "regularly" (every year or two) put a little (1/2 oz) in my chain saws, snow thrower and mowers. Good stuff.|

I put over 30K on my Subaru this past year. I handle all of my maintenance myself too. While I prefer Seafoam and B-12 Chemtool, Techron is definitely something to have around at $4/bottle.
