From what I hear, Gatorade bought a bulk of the whey for their dumb "G" line shortening supply with demand already high, hence, higher prices.
Also this is ON's more affordable whey under Gold Standard given the high prices of whey. Props for ON for not inserting stuff like creatine and crazy carbs like other brands as fillers.
I think this used to be their "Classic Whey" but it looks like they rebranded it as "Performance Whey." I am an ON Gold Standard/Hydrowhey loyalist and wouldn't doubt this product especially if you're thin on cash.

This is not a slick deal whatsoever.

|Strangermusic||Without getting into politics, the insatiable demand for whey byproducts by the rising Chinese middle class has driven the price of Whey protein far beyond historical norms. Protein is only going to get more expensive as China becomes more affluent.|

Looking at the ingredients, you might as well go with the cheap stuff found at Walmart over this stuff for a better price.

With people paying upwards of $50 for 5lbs I figured the ON fan boys would be all over 8+lbs for under $50 after CB

Can someone list the top whey proteins?
I only buy optimum but if there is a close 2nd I'd go that route too.
It's been expensive but it's still a better deal than the cheaper route as far as % protein
