|tangerinemixer||A cheaper way to get Ok! magazine is through one of the free magazine deals in the Free Magazine section. Quite frequently, after you've filled out all your information, a pop up will appear that says something like "Bonus Center! Pick up to 6 magazines for $2 each!" Last year I subscribed to Ok, The Atlantic and several other magazines for a total of $12. The key, and this is VERY important, is to use a prepaid gift card, so they cannot automatically renew after a year at some ridiculous rate. It's a great deal as long as you use a prepaid card. DO NOT USE A REGULAR CREDIT CARD.|

Thanks to all who responded to my question if DiscountMags was a legit site. I guess my experience is the one out of the norm. I ordered the Star magazine (3 years for $30) back in October with an expected first issue arrival date of December. I also subscribed to Popular Mechanics. January rolls around and still no magazine. I called Star Magazine customer service and Popular mechanics customer service and they said no order has been received.
OK so Discount Mags may have made an error and my order wasn't processed. I sent 2 emails via their website (1 for each magazine) inquiring about it. 2 weeks pass and no answer. I sent follow-up emails for both magazines in the middle of February and they don't answer it either. Finally, another 2 follow-up emails late February and they don't answer it either. Called Star and Popular Mechanics and they say that no order has been received. What made me very suspicious as well is that they don't have a phone number listed on their website.
Oh well, just wanted to share my experience. It sounds like most of you were able to get your magazines so good for you. Thank goodness that my CC still accepts disputes even if it has been several months since the transcation date. I have gotten my money back for Star Magazine but not yet for Popular mechanics.
