Have mine for about a week now. Extremely silent. Playing BF3 on 1080p Ultra fluent.
Using Asus overclock tool which allows vcore tweaking. Current running 1ghz Core, 5Ghz Memory (original 860mhz core, 4800mhz memory). Fan does not exceed 42%.

Those wondering on the performance for this card. Here is a review I was looking at found through HIS website: http://www.funkykit.co
Seems to be in the middle of 7850's being sold right now. For the price its a good deal.

Yeah, that is the thread I was referring to. As you read through it you will find people buying the same card and getting different OC results once unlocking the voltage. These cards OC fine but your mileage from card to card.

Would you OC the heck out of your CPU but only use the stock heatsink?
If you really want to push it I'd just water cool it - but then we're talking another +$100 for a heatblock.
For the general SD populace this thing OC'd is plenty fast - and if you want to research it more or take the discussion to a level of more technical detail there's a lot of PC enthusiast forums that can be found to answer that question.
Though to add some food for thought here there's been a LOT of use of the lower end cpu liquid heatsinks (H50, Antec 620) as a GPU cooler - getting some very good results, granted some of these involve zipties etc, but at $50 for the entire cooling kit vs $100+ for a heatblock that still requires a full WC loop, its certainly something to think about.

Everything you'll need to know about OC'ing a 7850 is there.

Also if you plan to OC I would reccomend getting a 7850 with 2 fans instead of one. Better cooling means potentially higher OC and less fan noise.
