Typically for the Front L/R/C and rear surrounds, the following should be followed for speaker wire:
Less than 50 feet in length:16 gauge wire
50 feet or longer in length: 14 gauge wire
As far as the subwoofer, you can wire the sub up in a few different ways, but the simplest way is to use a single RCA male to RCA male cable that will come out of the sub RCA port on the receiver and go into the Left/LFE RCA port on the sub. This is all that should be necessary for hooking up the sub. Make sure you enable the sub on the receiver too before you run the EzSetup.

Yes, There are 3 Boxes, each about 30lbs. Use the same Tracking number to see if 1 is delayed.

|Mr2envi||Mine came in the mail today in two boxes. I just opened them up to check. The sub came in its own box. The other box contains the amp and one g-12. I'm missing the other 3 G-16 and 1 G-12. I hope they are in another box that will come tomorrow or something!!!!!!!|

I was looking for a review on these speakers for ever. Ended up indirectly finding a review for different set, but it used the g-16s as surrounds.

How does the Klipsch SW-310-900 Subwoofer compare to the Velodyne VX-11 available from the other deal?

That is a really low end receiver to pair with these speakers. Very basic receiver, low power, and HK receivers have been getting less than stellar reviews all over the net. Looks like a throw-in just to get you to buy the speakers.
This is a good deal to look at exclusive of the speakers.

This is an awesome deal on this system if this is the system you want. The question is whether this system is for you. Personally I believe you can get really good sound out of a lot of budget satellites, and budget receivers. The one thing you can't do is get good bass out of a cheap sub.
You could get that HSU system someone else posted for the same price, but it lacks a receiver. Even without listening I'm sure those speakers sound much better than these, just going by magazine reviews and common sense of 6.5" vs 3.5" woofers. I would bet the Klipsch sub is better based on the fact that the HSU sub is ported, which allways sounds bad to me. Porting a sub generally means sacraficing sound quality for output volume. Still HSU subs get great reviews. HSU seems to be the budget audiophiles wet dream, but I can't speak from experience.
I buy a ton of stuff on impulse over the net, but the advice I would give with Video or Stereo equipment is that specs and ratings mean nothing compared to personnal opinion. Go spend a few hours at every shop you can and listen to as much as you can. Bring your own music and play with all the settings. These deals pop up all the time. The best thing to be is prepared when the stuff you know you want becomes the deal! If all that sounds like too much work then you probably just don't care that much and will be happier getting a deal like this and just enjoying it for what it is. There's nothing wrong with that either.

|sg0014||Is there any way to connect the rear speakers wirelessly?|

|sweez||People have had good and bad things to say about this deal, but my question is if this system is good for the sale price or if there is something better for the $1295 price? I don't have the money that the people on avsforum.com say you need to spend to get a good system.|
