|realdreams||my concern is that they sell gc that were sold to them. The previous seller may have known the card number and pin.. so they can still use the card online anytime....... that's a big risk i guess|

|giftcardbuzz||Not as good as cardcash.com deal of 33%, but cardpool.com has more options such as electronic gift cards and mobile gift cards.|

Here is my catalog thread where I keep track of the items JCP sells
I keep an excel file there that I update every so often. When they made the switch to the new pricing format, every piece of furniture's MSRP price was sliced in half. Clothes "everyday" price compared to old MSRP price was slashed an average of 35%. On and on for different types of items.
Since the new pricing structure I have gotten a lot of items that were 90-95% off compared to the old MSRP. Kids jeans for $3, Kids winter coats, brand name for $3-$5, Girl's dresses for $3, Mens sweatshirts, sweaters, polos for $3-$5. Including Izod polos and Nike sweatshirts.
There have been a lot of nice deals in store and online, the problem is that they tend to discount certain types of items every two weeks and people stalk the site when it changes over and grabs them fast. Same for in store, a lot of housewives show up Friday morning and look for the best deals.
On average I see better deals since the new structure, the only difference is that with the coupon you could determine what you would save the money on when buying.
However there are still plenty of hidden deals online because items will come back in stock but JCP doesn't add the item back to their website.
I don't know what polos you are used to buying, but you mentioned B&T, here is an example of a few B&T that show in stock in my list:

My point is that on the whole everyday prices are def cheaper than the MSRP they would show before. Sale prices are about the same, but clearance prices have been a lot better even with a coupon, but since the schedule for them is so strict, the availability is limited due to demand.
The main problem I see with their new pricing is that it was supposed to make things fair and easy, but instead is just as complicated as before with coupons.

This is the first time I have even seen some of the polos for $12, but of course no coupon so you are paying a little more. It also looks like they severely cut the selection since there used to be three pages of colors and now I see 4 colors.

Instore & Online
CardPool has two types of JCP gift cards, some with and others without this description: "This is a Paper Gift Card that can be used at any JCPenney location."
Anyone knows which can be used both instore and online?
Thanks in advance !

|Dr. J||supply & demand - plasticjungle works the same way. I sold ~ $2100 in cards to them about a year ago at 92% FV and they sold them for 96% FV, "making" 3.5% in the interim. It all comes down to s&d though - unless the GC's were for gas, grocery or large retail (e.g. WM, BB, Target, HD, etc), they were very cheap.|

I think like someone said JCP cards are selling at a major discount because consumers don't like the new pricing system they have. Recent JCP earnings reports with losses shows that the new pricing isn't working with consumers.
Cardpool buy and resell gift cards, so I'm curious how many cents on the dollar did the original owner of the gift card get ...

|vpr80||I had nothing but problems on my one order with them....DO NOT use under any circumstances!!! Charged credit card, did not send gift card. Gift card arrived with less money than indicated. Nothing but problems.|

Thanks & repped to the OP for the heads up! Thanks to Slickdeals, I recently found out about Cardpool.com. Seems like good savings. Not sure about using that site yet. Although, I've been wondering what to do with a $25 Home Depot card I bought for my dad, that he doesn't need/want.
Sitejabber reviews has Cardpool.com as 3 out of 5 stars, out of 41 reviews, and "Not Recommended" though! Not really sure how reliable Sitejabber is.
