sugar - 9g
sugar 28.1% of total
Honey Nut cheerios
sugar - 8g
sugar 28.6% of total
There you have it, honey nut cheerios has more sugar per weight. The math isn't really that hard.
Of course, regular cheerios has much less sugar, because it is unsweetened. But then youhave to add a banana for flavor and things get complicated

that's why in addition to the cup measurement.. whether it is 3/4 cup or 1 cup (some cereals nutrition labels are based on 3/4 cup, others are 1 cup) they also list the weight. I have both Kashi Go Lean Crunch & Costco Kirkland Raisin Bran and the nutritional labels are based on 1 cup. The Kashi is based on 53g (1 cup) & The Kirkland Raisin Bran is based on 59g (1 cup).
Same with protein powder. They will usually list the nutritional label based on 1 scoop, then list that 1 scoop is somewhere around 30 grams which is what the nutritional label is based on. Lots of foods list 2 kinds of measurements for size & weight/volume Danzilla is correct.

It can be said I guess that some people will eat the same volume (bowl full), regardless of the density, so the servings sizes do hold up... but a lot of other people don't. I'm much more likely to have a 2nd bowl if it's some kind of puffed cereal that's mostly air, so IMO they really need be compared ounce to ounce and not by volume.

|missgirle||In for one for the kiddos! Just that much easier for me to not have to drag them into the store. Better to order online.|

Same with electronics or tools I want.. Even if it's on her way home from work but a special trip for me, she won't go get it if she doesn't approve of it, want it, or need it herself. During the target tv clearance in May she passes by 2 targets on her way home from work that I don't. I went to stores close to me to score the 55" Panasonic plasma that I wanted for a sports rec room but since we already have a 65" Panasonic in the living room, she rolled her eyes & said she wasn't going to check the 2 targets on her way home for something we don't need..Same with lowes or sears tool threads..
With the life cereal she'll say it's junk, loaded with sugar & not organic so I'd have to drive out myself to get it if it was on sale for $1.99 at the supermarket.. So this actually works out to be better & more convenient for me.
Not a typical scenario for most people, but I'm weird & illogical like that lol.. In college I ate ramen almost everyday for 3 months straight to save my money to mod my car lol.. Very irrational I know.. But that's me..
I think the Vons/Safeway I go to is required to say your last name on the rewards card, tell you how much you saved with the club card & ask if you need help out. I bought 1 pint of ice cream & nothing else & the checker asked if I needed the bag boy to help me out with my groceries.. I was like wtf? It's 1 item.. But yes I do drive out to the supermarket for just 1 sale item..Then again, you can't buy ice cream online
