I've had one of these puppies for a few years now. If your in the know they are very awesome. Takes a little bit of networking (for my setup anyways) but this has let me say goodbye to my cable bill altogether. Works good with PlayOn media streamer. Many media devices will not work with media servers this is always good to check for in a media device.
I wish this deal was around when I got mine. Makes me think about getting a second one, however I already have the WDTV Live Hub in living room and WDTV in bedroom, I just stream content off the hub with the regular WDTV. I got mine for about $160 a few years ago on a fry's deal.

Also a question: If the interface on this hub unit is much better than their non-hub Live boxes, why don't they update the firmware on the regular boxes? Or is it a hardware limitation?

All my movies are downloaded from online, and I just copy and paste to the HUB or the drive attached to it over the network.
