Anyone know how long the Ideapad deal is going to last?
Also, anyone know a good laptop with similar specs or better for around the same price maybe?

Some good info on the GPU:

this is more like it, almost double the CPU power of the laptop in the Op for $100 more, only drawback is if this model came with a iGPU instead of dGPU......

|Kryspie||im giving this one an "eh", if youre gonna bite, get the one with the graphics card, but the CPU isnt the best, this is a lower tier Ivy Bridge and the new AMD Trinity models have this laptop beat at the same price of even cheaper.|

|kat0908||I wish it were standard that all new laptops came with Blu-ray r/Rw drive. I can't wait for Blu-ray to be as common as DVD drives|

In my own case, I rarely use my back lit keyboard though I have found it helpful in a few cases where I have. Would the lack of a back lit keyboard prevent me from buying another computer? No. That said, I would be more likely to buy a computer featuring one and wouldn't mind paying a bit extra to do so.

I hate hate these trackpads that combine the left/right click buttons, I like to rest my thumb on the trackpad buttons. in these integrated touchpads, that causes the mouse cursor to go all over the place.
I understand this might not be a big issue for lot of you, but allow me to vent a little. I am voting with my wallet by not buying any laptop with these touchpads.
