Is it normal for the top back of the monitor to be making subtle hiss/buzz sounds?
At first I thought it was my computer's fan noise but the sound is actually coming from the monitor.
Is this a defect or just something that monitors do? I know some TVs make sounds when the screen is all white but not really sure about monitors.

Got my replacement monitor, it works! Officemax is a mess, they told me to put an RMA number on the old one and put it out for pickup. The fedex guy came and said he had no idea about it had no label. That he would take it and bring it back if he couldn't do anything with it. I called officemax and they still said all I need is the RMA number.
They also charged me $15 more for the new monitor than the old so they had to issue a check to cover the difference. And I'm still out the cost of both until they receive the first monitor.
Can't figure out how to adjust brightness, this monitor does not have intuitive controls but I'll figure it out. The owners manual sucks.

|FatFishJeff||My order was on a credit card hold but just got that straightened out...Now back ordered.|

Changed my mind - tried to cancel it, but they were unable to (even though backordered?). Arrived Friday. I sent my email request to return it. Quite the archaic system. Now I sit and wait for a reply.....
The "security tape" was broken on one side of my box. I better not get any flack.
On a related note - that Costco LG IPS234W I picked up for $185 - I returned it, and bought the display model for $129+tax! Now what to do with that Dell U2412M I bought locally on Craigslist for $185? I appear to have a monitor addiction this week.....

Looking at it now. Nice and much brighter than my older E-machine (believe it is actually a rebadged Acer) 21 in monitor which is set up next to it. Will probably have to bring the brightness down a little bit later as it is still rather bright even under the "Eco" mode. Also like above post #124, was quite impressed with all the cables included with the monitor.
According to the user manual on the enclosed CD, the monitor can be tilted up 15% and tilted down 5%.

Well so much for that. The power button is broken. It doesn't really push in and even if I move it around, it doesn't do anything. The monitor won't turn on.
Good luck if that's you. I had to call them and they said they'd send another out from Chicago, probably almost a week and I have to have the old one out for pickup sometime Wednesday or thursday or whatever. Kind of a PITA.
Compare that to Amazon's exchange policy for example.

Got the monitor. Came with VGA, DVI and audio cable, wow. I want to mount it on the wall, anyone know how to get the part of the stand off the bottom of the monitor? I can't figure out how to pop the plastic cover off to get to the screws.
Edit: figured it out, the plastic cover on the top part of the stand attachment pops off (not easily) and there are three screws.

|nerdspot||Received my monitor today. It seems to be pitch adjustable. No HDMI as Kwong1 indicated but works beautifully with the Amazon Basics HDMI-DVI cable.|

Did anyone else's order being sitting in the Fedex Chicago hub since yesterday morning without any other updates? That is the last entry and it is supposed to be delivered to the Dallas area tomorrow, I wonder if they forgot to scan it when it got loaded into the truck.

|illh8||Even w/o HDMI, I think these are a pretty good deal... I did forget to check if they actually are tilt adjustable... Im pretty tall and usually the fixed ones dont work for me.. also want to be able to adjust them when light shoots through my windows.|
