|tech_turtle||I have a Kindle with special offers but none of them are this offer (I have the one with "buy one of the top 10 books for $1" but have no interest in that one). Anyone know if there is a way to force new offers to appear?|

If you see authors instead of advertisements when you put your Kindle to sleep then it's the Non-Special Offers version.
To turn it on, go to
Manage Your Kindle
Manage Your Devices
Then subscribe to the Special Offers for that Kindle.
Since it's the Non-SO version you should be able to turn the ads on and off whenever you want without paying (or it was like that about a year ago so make sure it doesn't cost anything if you're reverting back).
I forget if you have to reboot the Kindle after that, but if it doesn't show up try that. Have your Wi-FI or 3G connected and in the Menu you should see an option to view special offers.
If you do have ads instead of dead authors on your sleep screen, then I have no idea.

|alex11davidson||Does anyone know how to access special offers through a kindle keyboard 3g, or is there a way to view special offers from a computer? I have tried syncing, resetting (include reset to factory default), and connecting to wi-fi, but I cannot view any special offers in the menu or the screensaver. Even after talking with several people in customer service, they just suggested I trade in for a new kindle.|

|BIG REX||Cool. I probably would not have looked for this if I had not seen it on slick deals. I've built a pretty decent library of music based only on these free amazon mp3s over the years. It's time for Gangum Style and FloRida Whistle Song.|

Make sure your wifi is turned on.

Free $5 amazon MP3 for Kindle Special Offers owners
Didn't see this posted anywhere else, but just checked my Kindle special offers and they had an offer for free $5 for MP3s. Must click by 10/7/12
