1) the game is pretty much non-stop action. less talking, more slashing, the way a hack and slash should be. it'll net you a little over 20 hours, and that's if you blow through it knowing where every little thing is
2)The puzzles are far easier than the first one. Seriously, I did not get stuck with any puzzles, just some hidden treasure chests. The puzzles require very little thinking, and I'm no puzzle buff. to give you some idea, i was stumped multiple times in both of the portal games and a lot of professor layton puzzles.
3) The story isn't the greatest, but the main feature of this game is... it's a game. a lot of slashing, and even if it is a fetch quest, you will slash nonetheless. it;s not liek these repetitive quests will have you slashing less.
4) Total BS, the possessed weapons can be crafted to any kind powers you desire, and gives you multiple opportunities to build the kind of Death you want!
totally worth $18. i do not regret it at the price i bought it a little over a month ago.

This is a great game. Don't let the nay-sayers tell you otherwise. The combat is exceptionally fluid, ala akin to God of War and is also very responsive. The graphics are unbelievable; it's a gorgeous game. Of course there are not as many NPCs to interact with like Skyrim but c'mon, this is a hack n slasher. The equipment and leveling system is much more desirable than Darksiders 1. I really enjoyed the writing due to the amazing places the game took you, such as the Land of the Dead. Voice acting was great too, c'mon it's James Cosmo afterall. The quests are well done too. There is a lot of end game content such as new game+ and challenge areas such as a 100 round arena.
I thoroughly enjoyed this game and saw it build upon what worked and didn't work so well in Darksiders 1; which I also enjoyed.

First, when steam features something along side each daily deal, the whole darksiders II 50% off box, it always means there won't be a specific daily deal for it, it's akin to those hey try this game this weekend and it's on discount.
Secondly, season passes (at least so far) in the game industry usually refer to content release after the game is launched. The current DLC floating around were either offered specifically from companies as a preorder bonus and the Limited Edition.

|charlie hustle||This game is very mediocre. Fine to try for 20 bucks but the writing is really terrible and the action has no purpose as a result.|

|marcos6||In 4 1. Really liked the first one. Heck of a deal for under $20. I'll hold off on DLC until the holidays - if we make it that far. =/|

There's THQ Weekend Sale at Steam.
Its 50% off for Darksiders II all weekend = $25. But the daily features are as high as 75%. The chance is very small but Darksiders II could possibly go below this deal.
Regardless, DLC & the season pass are 50% as well. Its not straightforward since not all DLC are in the Season Pass and Amazon lists some DLC that are not in the Season Pass and not on Steam either.
The 2 DLC's Argul's Tomb & Death Rides are on Steam as well as the Season Pass for Sale at 50% off. Other DLC's are on Amazon. Either somebody at THQ doesn't know what a Season Pass is suppose to mean or Amazon is mistaken.
I'm going to pass on the DLC. They'll be on sale again by Christmas anyway.
