Interesting article describing the difference between the Horum and the Omega VRT 330HD. They are basically the same, and made in the same factory in Korea. These both have a 10 year warranty on the motor but the omega has 10 years on parts, where the Horum only has 1 year. http://www.discountjui
If you are looking for a good slow juicer I recommend the Omega 8004 which has a 15 year warranty and is much easier to clean. You can find the Omega 8004 on Amazon for $234 right now http://www.amazon.com/Omega-J8004...slickde
Slow juicers extract much more juice out of your produce. The benefit of using a slow juicer are:
1. You can re-run the pulp through the machine (you can't do that on a high speed/centrifugal juicer). This means you can extract much more juice out of your expensive organic Vegetables.
2. The juice oxidizes much slower since the auger is made of high density plastic instead of a metal blade, also there is far less heat generated with the slow juicer compared to fast spinning blade. This means the juice lasts 2-3 days instead of just one day.
3. This is the best way to extract juice from leafy greens. You will be surprised how much more juice you get out of Kale/Spinach with one of these compared to a high speed juicer (which just shreds the greens). If you do not juice greens then just stick to a high speed juicer.
4. You can make peanut butter, grind coffee, and even make pasta with the included attachment with the Omega 8004.
5. Tastes better in my opinion and less foam.

Costco: No 10-year warranty/possible counterfeit
Even if these are legitimate, but 'gray market' products, it's unlikely that Hurom would honor their 10 year US warranty. IMO, a valid 10 year warranty is worth way more than the few dollars you'll save (if you even save anything) by buying from costco.
Here's Hurom's list of authorized/unauthorized retailers: http://www.slowjuicer.

|therealtravis||Found a better deal at Wheatgrasshome.com . The Hurom Juicer is only $297.00 there with free shipping. All you have to do is use the coupon code wheatgrasshome481 at checkout. It says they will take off $61.95. I joined their email club after buying something else. My item arrived fast and free. No complaints with them. The email said it could be used on the omega vert 350 and Kuvings juicers as well.|

Slow juicers oxidize a LOT less than fast juicers. That is one of the main benefits. Even a day later the juice will still be very nutritious. Nothing like the "dead" juices you get at the grocery store. But the sooner you drink it the better it will be.
Unlike most slow juicers this one is very easy to feed. It is as easy as a fast juicer like Breville, but the enzymes, vitamins and other nutrients are not damaged by the heat, high speed and oxygenation you get with a fast juicer.
best juice quality
easy to clean
easy to use
This is the best juicer you can get. It is also sold under the Omega brand name with some cosmetic differences.

Not a big fan of the slow juicers for anything you want the benefit of drinking.
You must drink the juice made within one minute of extraction before oxidation starts to set in.
If you juice for health reasons, you will do carrots more than anything. Even if you use a juiceman or Jack Lalane product, you may not get *as much* juice; but, it doesn't matter because for two reasons.
1: carrots are so cheap
2: by the time these *slow* juicers get all the juice out and you go to drink it, it has started oxidizing.
If you are not juicing for the health benefits, I guess this machine is good if you want as little waste as possible. It will extract more juice. I admit that.
Now you can go the other way and get a vitamix; but, that just crushes everything. I have a juicer and a vitamix and they both have their place in regards to uses.
Hope this helps.

The HUROM Slow Juicer differs from many juicers. It is a completely different mechanism where fresh juice comes from squeezing rather than grinding. The Slow Juicer extracts juice faster than most typical juicers. It achieves the maximum nutrients, vitamins, taste and juice from minimum amounts of fruits and vegetables. The slow RPM is why they call it the slow juicer. The Slow RPM maintains the nutrients and enzymes of the fruits and vegetables.
•Low speed technology system (LSTS)
•Dual Stage Juicing - juice is extracted through the first crushing stage and before the pulp is ejected, it is then squeezed during the second pressing stage
•Economical - get the most out of your fruits and vegetables

•Up to 30 minutes of continuous use
•Easy to clean and dismantle
•Motor: Single - Phase induction
