Turns out, when they mean you have in game cash, the only thing u can spend it on is cloths and making ur melee weapon cool looking or something like that. so the in game cash isn't really meant to give others a edge other than cosmetics. but yeah sure u can wait to see, btw use this website to check out reviews they are okay. www.gametrailer

THERE WILL BE A REAL CASH SHOP now what exactly they'll sell in it we will have to wait and see but forgive me if I don't have much faith this day and age most games will sell you their mothers (figuratively speaking) for the right price.
I do not like the idea of paying for a game with real cash shops.
At least the games that have a form of free play have a half ass excuse, there is absolutely none in this case.
I wont touch the game for the first 6 months and until I see several in depth reviews.
I will not be a guinea pig, I've played to many games with cash shops that claim they are'nt "pay to win" and quite frankly the ones who have to actually say that are the worse offenders, it's a red flag.

For the part on me, i think i know what u mean, but i dont think its gonna be like after u can buy as much money as u want. i think that part only refers to startup money, cuz the third question says it doens't matter if u have much money, u get me ? but yeah just saying idk

|MPoWeRM3||Thanks to those who responded to my L4D question. I will skip this as I'm not a fan of Borderland's gameplay or slow gameplay in general. I'll save the $6 for Batman AC GOTY and Sleeping Dog when they go lower.|

notice how the more expensive packages include "in game currency"
further more if you look in the FAQ the 2 questions just above the one you quoted
Sure the wiz-bang shotgun can be found in game, of course only 3 are known to have dropped ever and has a drop rate of 1 in 100,000 but this is NOT a pay-2-win game.. no sir you can find all items in game.
Do you know how many games out there these days claim specifically they are not "pay-2-win" why because p2w is a turn off for everyone who's not rich.
If the game specifically has to say "hey we're not p2w, sorry" politicians say they're going to balance the budget and cut taxes.
By all means buy the game, just don't come crying a couple months down the road when it's apparent you'll need to pay to keep up.
I've yet to find a game that once started down this road does not eventually end up with a "everything is for sale" business model.
But good luck to you.
Hey if im wrong I might start playing but it wont be until 6+months and many reviews.

i played through DI when it came out, very good game. sure it's not the top of the graphics wow chart, but if the game is good... i really don't care. loved the mood set by the atmosphere, you really feel alone and stranded on the island. the map was huge, took me about 28hrs to complete everything on the first playthrough. the cut scenes for the most part are a waste, they should have just left them out... but if you let yourself get sucked into the surroundings and the feel of the game, you'll love it too.

It's funny how you can tell how good a game is by how often or how fast they drop the price. For every fan of this game there are 20 people who hated it.
It's graphics were half-assed.
It was a game that you have to run from everything to survive and even in the beginning, there are weapons all around you but you can't even pick them up to defend yourself.
On the PC, it tells you to do a certain move in order to do simple things like open a door (over complicating the simplist of tasks) and those keystrokes or mouse moves do not correspond with what the book says to do.
It was a poorly made game.
I still have it in my STEAM library but refuse to redownload it to my new PC due to lack of faith in the product.

From the Website: "I want PAY FOR WIN! I have lots of money to spend!
Sorry pal, but this is the wrong game. Like in a real-world, post apocalyptic scenario, your money will mean much less than your natural survival skills, training and wits."

Yeah, I played it all the way through one time by myself (it's better for exploring), but still prefer co-op play with a friend or whatever. I tried online co-op with random people a few times and that just sucked. You're right about it being much scarier on your own (especially areas where you have zombies running at you from all directions). It's unfortunate that so many people didn't really like it in this thread. I bet that many of them didn't really give the game a chance. Like I and the other guy Stomper88 said, the action and story gets much better as it goes on. If I had other games to play at the time, I might've just given up on it after a couple of hours too but glad I didn't. Either way, it's a great buy at $6

download "dead island helper." You can change FOV and a ton of other things with it. I love dead island and I prefer to play it alone. It's freaking much scarier that way.

I think $6 for Dead Island is a good deal. I paid $30 for the PS3 version and sold it when I was done with it. I enjoyed the gameplay a lot but the story was really cliché. The last boss was a huge let down. It was boring to replay it after beating it. There's a new game plus mode but I kind of wish there was different pathways you can take for a different endings. Also the game froze on me a lot during multiplayer and I had a lot of difficulty connecting with my friends. Not once did I ever get dizzy playing it.
However, I still had a lot fun playing it. The beginning starts off slow and most of the zombies you fight are the same. You could almost say it's repetitive but fighting zombies in different places provides you with various strategies to kill them. You don't get to use a gun till midway of the game, which is when you get to the city. Not only are there zombies, but humans that use guns to shoot you. And one head shot to a human is instant death.
The stronger zombies offer better rewards when killing them. Kind of reminds me of Bioshock when you want to take on Big Daddy but you have to plan out how you want to do it. I also did all of the side quests and you get mods that you can add on to your favorite weapon, such as shock, fire, poison, or bleeding.
Also I read that in the next Dead Island, your game save carries over.

I didn't enjoy it much at all, alone or with friends. It's just sort of shoddy and half-assed, but some swear by it.
Also, it is *nothing* like the amazing trailer that duped everyone.
