|ap1972||Thanks. I got this from Walmart yesterday after they price-matched it. Micro-center was OOS but interestingly the manager still did a PM. Probably YMMV but thought let you guys know.|

Gawd, need to get my parents a tablet for the holidays. This was on the radar. May have to go the iPad 3 route, which I'm trying my damndest to avoid. Two other siblings are heavily into iPads, and they are splitting the cost with me, allowing me to make the purchase.

They do this on purpose so you don't load up on fun content.. distracting users away from it's Google play store which brings in the real money. I wouldn't of even considered the N7 without the Micro USB Host Cable allowing me to connect my external hard drives and pen drives. Kind of sleazy on Google's part.. but it's all about the $. Hopefully the Micro USB host cable will be compatible with the N10. Now you know why the N10 won't have an SDcard slot. Does not generate revenue for Google.

Why on earth would anyone buy the 32GB for $499 when there is a microSD slot? At $399, it's still a bargain for the extra $20 over the old new iPad 3.
It'll be available from November 13th on Google Play in the US, UK, Australia, France, Germany, Spain, Canada and Japan -- with the 16GB edition costing $399 (£319 in the UK) and the 32GB version setting you back $499 (£389).

And yea, they have a small section for tablet apps. I had an N7, and sold it because it just wasnt up to snuff. Most "tablet apps" actually are just stretched phone apps anyways. They don't have the quality of iOS tablet apps. With the N7/N10, apps are apple's remaining trump card, and its a hell of a card - the only reason why im keeping my ipad 3 instead of going N10.
I don't know how else to describe it but to say but they don't look like they "fit" right, or they aren't quite optimized. With the ipad, because apps don't have to contend with different screen sizes and only 2 resolutions, they are made for the size of the display. That is an endemic problem for android. And the different GPUs mean that its hard for AAA apps to work properly - I still get lag on my S3 on CM10 running shadowgun! Never got that on my 4S.
And thats the last problem - no exclusive AAA apps, ESPECIALLY on the tablet end. Where is a game like Infinity Blade? Whats stopping them from bringing it to android?
And on the ipad, there are WAY more, better games. Starfront: Collision, Hunters 2, Starbase Orion, I can go on and on. Where are these apps?
