|playboyesquiere||have fun standing in line for 6 hours like my friend did. he swtiched from t-mobile to at&t and paid $36 b/c of the activation fee. He said you had to have gotten there early in the day and get a ticket.|

|Cwluc||Does anyone know what they mean by "Select Data Plan" yet? I confirmed my phones for purchase. They needed to setup appointments so you can activate them, mine is later tonight. No one knew that it meant when I asked. I don't want to be forced out of my unlimited data. Is there anyone with more information on this yet?|

|hmm||So what is minimum plan for this deal? I'm already on a grandfathered TMO plan and am thinking of just paying the $200 ETF and tax and the 1 month of service.|

I'm a little confused with this cross-upgrade thing... I am on a Verizon family plan with grandfathered-in $30 for unlimited data for my smartphone.. However, my phone is the only smartphone on the plan. (A Droid original WAAAAY past due upgrade.) My parents comprise the other two phones on the plan, but they are "dumb phones". If I upgrade one of their phone for the S III (drooool), won't that tack on a $30 required data fee to their line, thus adding another $30 a month? Or does that get dropped when we swap lines and my Droid gets dropped from the plan?
Thanks and +4 reps in advance for any help!

If I don't have a phone, at all, how is this going to go down?
I've read through the thread and no one's mentioned anything about not having a phone at all. The OP has absolutely zero information in their post as well; not very helpful to someone who doesn't know what's going on.
I would like to finally own a smartphone, so I would appreciate some sort of explanation on this situation.

Sam's vs Staples for T-Mobile S III
At least for T-Mobile, here's how I see the strategy on Friday:
Find a place where a Sam's Club and a Staples aren't too far apart.
It's easy to check stock for each Staples online.
Assume Sam's has stock, just a matter of whether they have the right carrier.
In my case, it was easy to find plenty of Staples with it, near a Sam's with it.
I further narrowed down the choice of Staples by which ones also had stock of the Blaze, as many locations were low on stock of the Blaze from it having been $29.99 without rebate all week, switching to $0.01 after $50 rebate on Friday.
The S III is 99.99 minus $50 MIR at Staples.
Staples opens at 5am, Sam's at 7am.
Maybe check the line at Sam's first if you're willing to wait 2 hours longer.
Or drop your kid or better half there to hold a place in line.
Then check the line at Staples.
Decide which seems better, based on lines and your tolerance for laying out the extra $99 and only getting $50 of it back.
I'm assuming that Sam's really means $0.96, and not $50.96 minus $50 MIR.
Does anyone know for sure?
