|jerry6d||Just canceled my order of Oblivion from Amazon and ordered one from Newegg. Saved me $.50 and I'll get the game in 3 days whereas with Amazon, I had to wait 2-3 weeks.|

A general rule of thumb is that when you go around a corner, put your shield up, because a spear or something is probably waiting to impale you. When you walk into a room, look around first, also listen. When you die, think about how the level/enemy is designed (whichever of the two killed you), and it's usually pretty obvious in retrospect how to avoid a similar fate. Also, save your humanity for when you really, really need a partner to help you out. Lots of bosses seem easy the 50th time you've beaten them, but the first time, you might need to watch somebody take on Quelaag before you can solo her.

Just traded in Skyrim for my PS3 for being a POS. Not sure if I want to support Bethesda, or even put up with their crapola anymore. I got Dark Souls not long ago for this price. Seems like a good deal, just hope I didn't buy $10 worth of cheap deaths.
If I wasn't so poor I'd have jumped on all PC versions, but my hardware probably couldn't handle these very well :\
At least the prices are nice, and Newegg is awesome!

It has nothing to do with how many saved games you have, it's how big the save files get. Around 8-9mb and it freezes more often. I beat the main game and my save was less than that and it froze maybe a total of two times. I went back to do the DLC / explore more and the save file grew pretty quick, once over 9mb I quit playing and went back to an old save.
You can do the DLC at any point and you don't need any items from the DLC to beat the game. If you're trying to get trophies or something I'd just use an earlier save and do a DLC, reload that early save do another DLC, etc. It'll keep your save file down in size.

I have Fallout 3 for PS3. It does freeze/stall after a certain amount of play time. You can work around that by shutting off your PS3 and turning it back on. I also read that you should not save too many saved games, but I didn't, so I couldn't tell the difference. Personally whenever it stalled, I waited about 5 minutes, and the game resumed fine. Fallout 3 is such a great game, very open-world. Although you can't get pleasure without going through pain. There is so much to do in the game, I can see why there are glitches in the game, and not every problem can be found or fixed easily since there are so much variables. For GOTY edition $10, that is totally worth it. I would have rebought it if I did not already buy the Broken Steel DLC.
I just bought X360 of Oblivion and PS3 of Dark Souls. Quite excited!

Played Fallout 3 on PS3 years ago without DLC. Although freezing issue did occur, it wasn't too bad. It might have happened less than 5 times from start to finish.
I read on a forum somewhere that it was because of the save file gotten too big. The recommendations was to avoid using laser weapons.
What happened was when you kill enemies with laser weapons, they turn to ashes. Those ashes do not disappear from your game unlike regular corpse. That was what contributed to the huge save files. I don't know if they fixed that but that was years ago.
Back to the deal. I have backlogs in double digits. Still deciding on Fallout 3 for the dlc and Oblivion. Will wait on Dark Soul.
