ALSO I may return this unit...I can't get passed this one thing.
Picture quality is GREAT from about 5-6 feet away but close up I can see all the pixels in the blacks if I am watching a wide-screen movie. Is this normal for plasma? I never have had a plasma so not sure. Up close I see like green pixels fluctuating but back 5-6 feet away looks perfect.
Someone told me "Most Plasmas have this on by default, it's the anti-burn in feature. I know on my Samsung Plasma you can turn it off but I wouldn't advise it."

People, like myself, use computer monitors for console gaming because the time between me pressing the button and an action on the screen happening is low.
You said nothing other than talking about 'the good ole days' and how people don't travel with their monitors (even that isn't true because mine fits perfect in my suitcase and I travel great distances with it). But whatever. Keep clucking that chicken.

|itsnotspam||I've been on the fence since last Thursday for this unit. Read as many reviews possible, looked at it in BB, and have done a decent amount of research. I am still torn from just pulling the trigger or keep searching for a slightly better unit. I'd like to stay within a 800$ ish budget and will do plenty of gaming and cable watching on the TV. Any advice from anyone please would be appreciated if this unit will do the trick or can point me in the direction of something else. Ty in advance.|

|adam22||FYI the Panasonic Plasma mentioned in this thread is not 499 dollars in club, at least at the Deptford, NJ location. They had about five in stock yesterday.|

Well a month ago it was $799 but military base only. Paul's TV has (or had) it for $950 shipped with white glove, use coupon GET100, might still work.
So I'm hoping somewhere in the range. Last year's model was only $600 at BB during Black Friday. I myself might just wait until Jan or Feb now if it doesn't come down around $900 shipped. This is the only tv in my price range that is being recommend for console gaming due to issues mentioned above.

I wonder if we can expect to see the 55ST50 drop below 1k anytime soon...
Really wanting to snatch one up.

FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE THIS UNIT:
Anyone care to share their calibration settings or have a way to calibrate this monitor? Thanks
