|jlkeeton||Finally all settled - got my refund on the last item that never was received. It apparently was never fully set to be done and the lady who answered the phone right away (vs having an operator send me somewhere) took care of everything in about 5 minutes and made sure it was right. I'm a bit gun shy with BestBuy's shipping now, though.|

I said I'd update when I had a resolution on my missing items. I now have everything but a blu-ray box set. The other items were set to be reshipped (took 4 weeks and 6 calls) but nothing was available. I finally got a substitute authorized and did in-store pickup for 0.00$. Sadly, the lady who gave me my items at the store said the same thing happened to her - a box was completely empty. Sounds like it happens more often with BB/UPS combination this year.
For the box set, I was supposed to get a refund. I still do not have that, so I'll be making a 7th call to BB Customer Service maybe tomorrow (give them an extra few days to process the refund even though it has been 1.5 wks) anurlhasbeenblockedne with the ordeal.
A big mess...

thanks for that info, i travel out this Friday, was thinking of taking advantage of the free service prior to leaving.
then doing it again next year for a different product/etc.

is that tv calibration once per calendar year?
im silver right now and will be next year too.
i bought this tv and scheduled service but they told me it is recommended to run the LED 100 hours prior to doing the service.
now, i haven't run the service and was thinking of taking advantage of it before i leave on vacation this Friday as i will return jan. 1st
what do you think - should i jus have them come over this week? right now she scheduled me for Jan. 4

Anyone else not get charged tax on their early bestbuy.com purchases from this sale?
My order showed tax, but none of my orders had tax charged.
I do recall when i was placing the order, they had a issue with their system, but my discovercard does not show the tax charged.

I read somewhere today taht by linking your account number on BestBuy.com they give you Silver status. I've not spent $2500 but I have every expectation that they're going to give it to me next year. It just might be in June or July again next year like it was this past year.
In regards to the calibration I'm going to ask them to come calibrate my Vizio.

I had zero problems, but I ordered 5 small items (3 DVDs and 2 Video games) and they were shipped in 4 packages. 2 of which were sent via overnight delivery.
Seems like a massive waste of money on their part to send it in that many shipments and with all that added cost. I would have happily paid $20 less for it to be shipped smart post in 1 shippment even if it meant 2 weeks to arrive or something.

Is the premier really calendar year? I have seen some say no.. just curious just became one this month ... sucks if it will be gone in 1.5 months
also has anyone used BB premier to get their TV calibrated? If so whats your opinion on them?

Well long story short. They couldn't reorder the stuff. They couldn't change the cancelled order, They still have not given me my RZ certificate back, and they told me they have to cancel my gift cards and reissue new ones.
Total nightmare and as soon as I get my funds back Im going to buy Amazon gift cards and be done with Best Buy.

I hope no one else has had the issues with the items I ordered, but I've had 2 orders with missing items. So far, it has just been a UPS/Best Buy combination.
The first box was completely empty and UPS refused to deliver stating so in the tracking. It's been stuck at "Damage reported. / Damage claim under investigation." for several days.
The "big" box of items had stuff missing. Everything was on the pic sheet and also showed online under that tracking #. The lady on the phone said to wait 'til tomorrow because it wasn't supposed to be delivered 'til the 27th even though it was the 28th already. Bad omen.
BB's CSRs really couldn't do much to help - was put on hold over and over since they didn't know what to do. In the end, both times it doesn't seem like they're doing anything but "opening a case". One was Monday and the other was yesterday with no additional updates from them on either.
Seems like 'tis the season for thieving, but it is odd that 2 shipments from BB both had problems while all my other orders from various other places have been perfect. Has anyone else had issues like this with them in the past and know what they actually do? I've Googled it, but I can't see where anyone got something resolved. I just see the complaints with no follow-ups. Amazon has generally shipped a replacement right away, but both times BB has said they need to "investigate" before doing anything. In the meantime, some gifts are hinging on these investigations and I'm worried they're going to draw this out. ???
