|fbueller||Sure, there is. But since there aren't any out there already created for this unit, installing a custom would probably brick it if you're not a dev.|

|fbueller||Again, there is no way to restore a factory ROM since you can't change the ROM. However, factory restore is under the system settings >> backup and restore (or something like that).|

Does anyone have a copy of the factory ROM?

|fbueller||Rooted is not the same as recovery. It's rooted, but there's no recovery available for this I'm aware of.|

|AMT00075||How do you enter recovery mode for this tablet? I tried every button sequence I could think of with the 3 available.|

The reason that the Play Store is not on this tablet is because the manufacturer must be a member of the "Open Handset Alliance" to put this on anything Android. That is why cheaper tablets use Amazon App Store or GetJar. It is easy to install the Play Store on this since it is already rooted. All you need is this file http://nwteche.com/wp-content/upl..._files.zi

Resistive screen 800x480 = total waste of money. I cant believe people are actually buying this. It does not even have Google Play because Google has not approve this tablet to be able to run the apps. Google does not want money, you make a POS tablet like this and they WILL block you from the market.
The lack of Google Play is all about Google blocking this Tablet for quality control reasons. This tablet is a embarrassment to Android OS.

Next question, the Android Market that is installed now is only v3.3.12, is there a way to update this to the Google Play store instead of Android Market? (I tried installing v3.10.9 but it constantly crashes... could be that it is for JB instead of ICS)

I've been experimenting with overclocking the cpu. Luckily I had purchased set cpu for my phone. By default its at 1008mhz. I've tried going above 1200 and haven't had much luck. Anyway my point is, bringing it up to the full 1200 makes a huge difference with performance.
(To anyone with knowledge of overclocking, how often do tablets have their minimum set to 60mhz??? Isn't that insanely low? I could understand why that would be good for battery savings, as tablets often sit on standby for hours and hours if not days)
Do not tweak these settings unless you have at least a basic understanding of what a cpu is, what under/over clocking/volting is, etc. This can literally cook your processor if you aren't careful.
Also, I think a different launcher like ADW runs more smoothly than the stock one.
I'm beginning to feel the lack of a full gig of ram on this tablet is really hindering its performance sometimes.
Oh an most importantly, install swype beta! I hate hate hate swype on my cell phone. SwiftKey3 is the best thing that ever happened to me. By swype is great for a restivene touch display. Makes typing a breeze.
Ok to recap the things I've done to my tablet to make it run a lot faster:
1. Follow instructions for Marketplace installation
2. Install SuperUser from the marketplace.
3. Install SetCPU to bring the cpu speed up to 1200mhz.
4. Install AdFree to block annoying ADs (and since hulu plus doesnt work anyway!)
5. Install Opera Mobile and enable Turbo mode.
6. Install Opera MIni (yes, I use both. Opera Mini is FAST but only for basic reading)
7. Install ADW EX as a home launcher replacement
8. Install Titanium backup to backup all apps (I do not use the data restore feature).
9. Install an older version of Netflix that actually works.
10.Install Xfinity player so I have more content since hulu plus does not work!
11.Keep remembering to tell myself RELAX this tablet was only $40 you CANNOT expect perfection at this pricepoint!!!!
Oh and for all you neat freaks out there like me that want their electronics to look, stay, and feel nice...I'm sure you've already noticed how easily the plastic on this thing scratches. Have no fear. Go to a sally's, walmart, whatever, grab a 3 way, 5 way, or whatever nail file/buffer. This actually works to remove scratches and make the plastic shine again. I have used this trick for years on my cell phones. Just don't press so hard and definitely do not use any of the rough sides of the file please!!!

I couldn't either, but the link the poster above added helped a lot. You can use that to install Google Play, and I didn't even realize it's pre-rooted. Basically you're all set at that point other than CWM.
I think it might be the same as the Mach Speed, but since I don't have verification of that it's a bad idea to flash that unit's ROMs.
